There's a Mexican guy I like. He's absolutely ****, but he keeps going...

Most of these guys can't throw a straight punch.. Absolutely useless

There's a few thar can't fight and they turn up from ****ing hundreds of miles away or even other countries.

I see people watch stuff that interests them e.g. conspiracy stuff, space exploration, crime etc.

So my question is how do you navigate around Youtube to find the stuff you want to watch because it seems that the programmes aren't random but in many cases involve ppl and shows they regularly watch.

 

When I save my guitar stuff, I just bookmark it. Each youtube video contains the authors name below it, which will link to all their other videos. Then youtube gives you other stuff you may be inteterested in.

 

I'm not interested in watching him eat or any of the talking either tbh but I do like seeing what's on offer around our island.

Youtube has an algorithm system that reads exactly what you watch and what you're interested and tailors every single thing you see in the direction of your interests. You can go onto your google account and adjust your interests and even adjust the kinda adverts Youtube shows to you.

If you google something about a conspiracy theory, there's a high probability that youtube will be informed about it through your google account automatically and adjust your recommended vids to show more of it.

Hence why our dearly departed member fell into a rabbit hole, the more he read, the more he could watch the more he could watch the more it was recommended, until you literally only see dangerous theories recommended and no actual information.

 

You haven't heard they been removing the good stuff for years.......Tom cruise scientology vid was the first I saw get taken down time after time.....ewtube is not impartial shall we say.

So use it don't let it use you.....kinda ting

 

Subscribe to channels and like videos really. Then you get more of the same come ya way.

I think it's the only thing that's been putting me off using it. Which is a shame as it's an app on the tv.

Good advice on the algorithms, I would no way have thought of the potential pitfalls of it straight away so it's a good heads up.

It would be good if there was one post with Top 10 recommendations covering all sorts of topics which ppl's suggestions could be added to.

 

To do any of that youll need to link it to your google account btw.

I like docu-dramas bro on real history. I love history whether it's crime or monarchy or science advances. But I've gone a little off documentaries and prefer a bit of drama depicting it. I won't say no to documentary though. Less american btw, more Brit or Rest of the world.

 

On the tv app it should prompt you to sign into a Google account anyway, but of not when it loads up just go to the lil person icon on YouTube and sign in that way,

If you're signed in it will save all your history and subs and likes and **** like that, if you aint it won't.. As much

You can make lists too.

So say you watch a booty shake vid, hit the more button or plus sign and add to list, create list : bootay shakin.

Then when you see another one you like you can add to the list.
