I suspect one will be Bowen and I doubt it’s an injury - more a ‘withdraw from firing line in case of injury’. Particularly if rumours of an incoming Newcastle bid are true. All stacks up with Wilks finally secured. Hope I’m wrong.
Grosicki being out may be a blessing in disguise, I think a game or 2 would do him the world of good TBF
Hull City defender Angus MacDonald will return to training today after recovering from cancer treatment.
That's just awesome news. I have a mate at work who's recently returned from breast cancer and the funny thing is, she seems the happiest I've ever known her. Hopefully this will happen with Angus.
I bet his first words when he got on the pitch this morning weren't, 'its good to be back', but '**** its cold!!'
Anything now is a bonus... the lad has overcome a nasty horrible disease and whether his footballing career flourishes or not now is secondary .. the lad can look forward to hopefully many happy years in front of him whatever it holds.
Hull City are facing a defensive injury crisis for the FA Cup fourth round tie at home to Chelsea, with Jordy de Wijs, Callum Elder and Matthew Pennington all set to miss out. The Tigers are preparing to face Frank Lampard’s side on Saturday evening in front of a sold-out KCOM Stadium but McCann’s plans have been badly hampered by a series of problems at the back. De Wijs has not recovered from the calf injury that ruled him out of last weekend’s 1-0 loss away to Derby County, while Elder is facing two weeks out with his own calf strain suffered at Pride Park. Matthew Pennington, who would have been in line to get the nod as a replacement, is also expected to miss out because of a groin injury suffered in training today. McCann still has doubts over the match fitness of Stephen Kingsley after a month out with a hamstring strain, ensuring it could open the door for Sean McLoughlin to make a high-profile debut against Chelsea. “We’ll have no Pennington, no De Wijs and no Elder,” said McCann this lunchtime during his pre-match press conference. “Callum has picked up another calf injury from the last game. Possibly two weeks. “Jordy hasn’t really recovered well so he’s probably going to be another couple of weeks. “Penno has picked up a groin strain in training today, which is unfortunate. “It happened right at the end of the session so it’s very unlikely he’s going to make the weekend. He’ll probably need a scan so we’ll see.” Kamil Grosicki is fit to face the Blues after recovering from the minor injury that kept him out last weekend but Jon Toral (knee) and Kevin Stewart (foot) remain out.
Are the Allams inflating figures again when the club say it is a sell out? Will there be lots of empty seats despite it being announced as a sell out a la Emirates, Etihad, Old Trafford...
I didn't know it had been announced. Still surprised, must be lots of Northern WLRBs going to be in attendance. I'm still not convinced.
I tried to get 2 tickets monday for a friend and could only get 2 singles not 2 seats together and I went through every home stand. Not 2 seats together available in any stand.
