I know he played as a CB against Arsenal in our first season in the PL and was exceptional in his reading of the game and a goal-line clearance, but thereafter ........ Your last sentence sums the guy up TOTALLY Cromer!!!
I remember that very well, he was a colossus in that game, but it was pretty much a one-off. He became renowned for a succession of dodgy back passes or getting caught woefully out of position which led to goals or at least heart-in-mouth moments and as such, should have been replaced far sooner. But that wasn't in the Hughton or Neil psyche to do things like drop the team/club captain. Good that Webber and Farke are more objective and seemingly made of sterner stuff when it comes to selections, squad rotation etc
You're being ridiculous now and this is interfering with worthwhile discussion. Just not interested DD. Let's talk about the football.
You implied that myself and others love to criticise without reason. I reacted by explaining in depth the reasons some players get criticised , fairly in my opinion. Franke is awful and we paid £2.5m for him almost double what we got for Jerome. Being a club on a tight budget this was a terrible signing and we can kiss that money goodbye. You may find my opinions ridiculous and refuse to acknowledge his and the Husband signing were not good business and this is talking about football. If you don't think bringing in Jez Moxey was another massive gaff then I would suggest you are being ridiculous . You have every right to find positives in everything the club does but I also have every right to criticise when millions of pounds are wasted on garbage .
(bit worrying he said the only position we are short is RB. Again, seem like the club forgets our striker situation every window) (A little annoying the "shock at the expectation". It's because of the Premiership years, all the money we got in and the money that could put this club in an amazing position. We got a little "yes, we made a lot of cock ups", and now it's like: "Get over it, We are skint, why do you expect us to do well!?" ...Because of the previous years of privilege that have obviously been wasted. To then say "we had to sell Pritch because of mistakes"....right.....but how is that the fans fault? Why are we bad, for feeling mugged off? You keep saying you all f**ked up, but yet we are suppose to be happy with you all.) (Sounds positive, and says the right things. He does remind me of a bloke who if he cheated on his wife, he would make her feel guilty for it. Interesting side of the Middleton story. If that is the case, which I'm not sure, as our board would say anything. If true, then it's understandable. Also his comment on the next wave of young supporters is really good to hear from the club, coz that is a problem)
Yes I do Dave, and because we needed to sell him. Because of how this club has been managed. We aren't promotion candidates which Pritch was most probably promised, and all that money has bled out of our club. Obviously he wanted to go. He turned down Brighton for us, because we were in a better position. At the time, and could promise him many lies.
Saw that on Read Norwich. So, I don't believe it for a second. Plus our club just tell the fans whatever gets them out of any bother, it seems. "yes, we really screwed up this football club. Yes, we have wasted all we worked for. Yes, we have taken the club back about 8 years. But why do you feel unhappy!? Our club is in trouble for some reason! That's not our fault!"
Yep. Like I said at the time, I found it horrific he wanted to leave after we paid for his rehab and paid his wages. But like I just said, he joined us over Brighton because of the great position we were in, and the promises he was made. I'm not surprised he felt let down, and like he needed to move.
