Belgium Champions fend of Leeds interest in Lang

Italian Sky Sports journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Belgium outfit Club Brugge are trying to tie Noa Lang down to an improved longer contract, to fend off interest from Leeds. The Belgium Champions have yet to activate the clause in the 21yo's loan agreement to make the move from Ajax permanent; but can do this at any time.

Romano is known to be a reliable source, in which case there is certainly strong interest from Elland Road, but why is a winger such high priority for the Whites?

Brugge have also it it be known that if Leeds want the Dutch youth International, they will have to stump up over 20m, 14m more than the agreed purchase price with Ajax.

Pedro de la Vega back on Leeds radar

Leeds may well end their interest in Lang, and turn their attention to South America instead! This time last year, the Whites were pursuing Lanos teenager back Pedro de la Vega. At the time Vega was valued in the region of 3.5m, but after impressing in the Argentine Primera División last term, his valuation has soured to 8.5m, with a host of top European clubs monitoring the 19yo.

8.5m is still cheap compared with European comparisons like Lang!

Argentine International available half price

Dutch giants Ajax have told Leeds that they can have Nicolas Tagliafico for half price after Leeds initial interest in the Argentine International caught their attention according to media outfit De Telegraaf!

The 28yo left back is known for his 'lung busting stamina, up and down the left channel. He is very skillful and difficult to disposes. He has 29 International caps to his name

The newly crowned Eredivisie champions have set their sights on AZ Alkmaar’s Owen Wijndal, he's seven years younger than Tagliafico and already part of the Dutch International senior side.

This time last year, Arsenal came close to signing Tagliafico, for a reported fee of 20m. If Leeds are quick, they'll be able to fill their left back problem for half that!

Morning all,

These latest players we're being linked with do sound as though they're more feasible. All three sound like just the type to fit in with Bielsaball.

Maybe Bielsa wants another high quality winger because he's planning to move Raphinha infield to play as a no.10 and move Rodrigo up top?

 

I also think the only options when Harrison is having a mare is to use Alioski or move Raphinha over. So I think we need another top winger who can do damage down the left. Raphinha isnt as good for me on the left as he is on the right and Costa has been very average on the left

 

Tagliafico has been on last seasons transfer thread and is also on this Summers transfer thread. Deffo a player Bielsa likes but was scared off by the price last Summer and again in January, so maybe this time?

The other fella Perdo De La Vega sounds like a swarthy latin caberet singer, but is an up and coming star on the pitch. Yet again though the media love attaching Argentine players to transfer stories as both of these are

Without using anyone in 2 positions trying to settle them in their main position is this what we currently would go to war with before Transfers and new signings for the new season.

That's how I see it anyway. Obviously a LB is priority. I'm interested in where Bielsa see's Rodrigo is he just going to have a bunch of players who can play both roles and swap them about ie if Bamford is injured or out of form he can select from the 8's from above who can play both roles.
Obviously some of this squad can play other roles too in the Team but this is like where they would be selected first.
He wants players of a similar ability to rotate and make them part of the season.
so any of the 2 selected position players could be 1st choice on the day seems the way he wants it.
Does Shackleton lose his place to Cody Drameh? or will Cody be in that u23 selection but part of the 1st team again.
Does Gelhardt join the 8-9 bunch to make the 4. or do we bring in a new signing and Gelhardt will be a u23 slash first team player..
I don't see a DM coming in. as 2 of the 4 CB's can play that role and let's be honest if KP is fit he will play the majority of the season there. It also frees up a position in the squad for some other position.
Down the left seems the part of the squad we need to improve. LB-LW seem the main slots.
Anyone else coming in will push one of them out of that position above out as we will only buy better right?

Then there is transfers out will anyone leave Alioski still debating
Will we be able to hold back when serious offers come in for Raphinha or Phillips.
Can we keep Rodrigo happy already lost his place in the Spain team does he want to be a Nb 9?
Still lots to throw up in the air.
