Good Morning. It's Friday 28th December, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Aaronson deal not dead and buried Speaking on the Phil Hay podcast, the former Chief Football Writer for the YEP gave Leeds fans hope that the Brenden Aaronson deal may yet still go ahead. The USA Midfielder is said to be keen for the deal to go through, and it is believed that personal terms would not be an issue. Futhermore, conducting a medical remotely is not as difficult as it sounds. This means, if Leeds can agree a fee with RB Salzburg before 11pm on Monday evening, the rest of the deal should fall into place. According to hay:- “He is a player that Leeds really, really want and I do think Aaronson will end up at Elland Road at some stage,” “He’s over in the States at the moment with the USA national team, they’ve got some World Cup qualifiers. “It doesn’t make it impossible that because you can do medicals remotely." "I don’t think personal terms or anything like that would be an issue with at all. “From what I understand, he’s really keen on the move but it’s never been his intention to bully his way out of Salzburg mid-season when they’ve got the Champions League to come and they’re top of the Austrian Bundesliga. “It’s not looking likely that one, unless something dramatic goes on.” Several reports are indicating that Leeds may be able to secure a deal for the 21yo now, but not take possession until the Summer. At least that way, they know they've got their man, and the price will not change. please log in to view this image Rodrigo eyes Camp Nou move Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo claim that Rodrigo could be on his way to the Camp Nou. The 30yo record signing is understood to be disillusioned at Elland Road, and is pushing for a move to the Spanish Giants in an attempt to catch the eye of Luis Enrique ahead of the World Cup in December. Even when fit, Rodrigo's form has been inconsistent. He has played in a variety of roles, none of which justify his hefty price tag or exuberant wages. Barcelona were interested in signing Rodrigo on loan in the Summer, but Leeds were understandably not keen to part with their most expensive asset on loan. please log in to view this image Phillips on track for March return Kalvin Phillips recently attended a fundraiser for former Leeds United Women's player Stacey Daniels, who is raising money for lifesaving treatment in her battle with Multiple Sclerosis. The 26yo England star has been sidelined with a hamstring injury sustained during the 1-1 draw with Brenford, which subsequently required surgery. He spoke with the YEP, who were also in attendance, and it looks like the England star is on track for a return to action in March. "I feel alright," "It's been seven weeks now since I had my operation. I'm in the gym and doing a lot of leg weights and stuff, it's feeling good. "Obviously [until Newcastle] we were going through a bit of a good stage, we won two tough games, so I was thinking to myself that I wasn't going to get back in the team if we carry on like that. "You know how it is. All Leeds fans and all the players that are out of the team want to play and we're all kicking every single ball from the sofa." When asked about a return date, Phillips replied "Hopefully soon, maybe March. That's what I'm aiming for. If it's any sooner then it's a bonus." please log in to view this image
Come on Kalvin, get your boots on soon We're rarely efficient without you. So frustrating being so reliant on certain players. Ooh! I keep forgetting we are covered adequately in every position....naughty Leon!
Anyone see the Brazil game last night (only four of us on my forum) A bruising encounter! We're lucky that Raphinha is still alive please log in to view this image Need to increase his life insurance if he's gonna keep getting selected by Brazil please log in to view this image
I wasn’t expecting any signings but if we do end up loaning out Drameh, Summerville and Rodrigo I’d have to concede that is a very poor transfer window even by our standards
Lets look at the facts. We are light in midfield and up front, will little money to spend. Can anyone think of a better signing than Nketiah - 10m Even if we sell him in the Summer, his value is not going to go down!
What kind of boots, football or golf, as i said the other day he is in Dubai playing golf not in the gym working with physio's, and getting back to full fitness, to be fair, since Philips started playing for England he has had more than his fair share of injuries, might be time to cash in.
He'll be worth a lot more after the World Cup in December. Doe that mean that next Januarys transfer window will be a lot more expensive though?
