He might play Bamford as well because even if he hasn't been scoring he had been doing a lot of work. He just needs an Allan Clarke by his side

 

Costa seems to be getting some hammer on here this month. I thought he was improving as time went by. Granted he hasn't set the league on fire but he has added a bit of pace and trickery to the flank. With Harrison on the other wing the opposition usually spread themselves quite thinly to cover both flanks. Got a couple of goals and assists too. He's getting there.

I also think Douglas is getting there. The bugger just needs to keep fit for more than two games.

Hopefully the new striker can spearhead our attack and we can convert a few more chances.

Where the f**k is Forshaw? He was friggin awesome at the beginning of the season and I think Klich needs him in there to release him a bit more. Stick a new hip on him. The wife's Gran got a new one and she can get the bus and all sorts now. He can't be on the NHS waiting list.

 

For me Costa has ability, plenty of it but 2 important factors let him down, he has no heart and he bottles it.

 

I'd think Costa's place is under most threat from the Poveda signing. if the reports I read were accurate he basically told Pep to do one because he got pushed back to their U23s, so if he thought he was good enough to get ahead of Sterling, Mahrez etc. I doubt he's come here to sit in our reserves.

To be fair quite a good read. Bit like going to the library and taking out a book you haven't read for a few years and it all coming back to you once you get going.

There are a lot of reasons on this thread alone why we might be better off signing no-one this January
