£40 for a Saturday game for the 4 isn't bad either. They're doing, U12's free if they're accompanied by a full paying adult (£22) too.
Wife does the accounts for Accrington Stanley. Before covid I would go to a couple of games a season. Its what I call proper football. It would do alot of fans good to see a game a few divisions down. It's great fun.
Problem is I don't get any concession, so its £17 for me to watch them, even as a part owner of the club
Totally 2nd that mate. I get down to Blyth Spartans now and again in National League North. proper Football, full blooded tackles great to see teams giving 100% in a challenge gets the blood boiling. You get some tidy players in this league too along with the occasional beer bellied pub player lol. Can't beat a bit of Non League Football.
Tranmere were runners up in this last season and full of pros who have been around the EFL for years. We are fielding a team of babies without Jiffy, Greenwood, Drameh, Summerville and Cresswell. Mainly U18s as usual with a 17yo striker in Max Dean. McGurk, And Miller play along with young Charlie Allen and Nohan Kenneh is probably skipper ….. not sure they learn anything in these games
I just don’t get it. Why not play the likes of those you’ve named. Surely the idea of entering this is to get the players we think might make the first team some senior football. They’re not getting on the pitch in the premier league and not playing here. What’s the point of entering this cup?
