Good Morning. It's Tuesday 7th April, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Augustin responding well to treatment Phil Hay has revealed that both Jean Kevin Augustin and Adam Forshaw (remember him?) have both been attending Thorp Arch despite the squad self isolating. The former Chief Football writer for the Yorkshire Evening Post revealed that both players, under the guidance of Rob Price (Head of Medicine and Performance) were responding well to treatment following their respective injuries. Augustin in particular, has disappointed since his £65,000 a week loan was sealed late in January. He managed just 49 minutes of game time before being sidelined with a hamstring injury. The 22yo French International is being put his paces with a series of drills aimed at improving his sprint mechanics. The three month break caused by the coronavirus could not have come at a better time for Augustin who should be as match fit as the rest of the squad when the season hopefully recommences in June. please log in to view this image Forshaw on course for August return Leeds midfielder Adam Forshaw has been speaking about the progress he is making following his hip operation at the World renowned Steadman Clinic in Colorado seven weeks ago. “The specialist in Colorado was recommended,” “Rob Price (head of medicine and performance) had been out with a player before as well, when he was at Liverpool. “I’m seven weeks since the operation now which was a success and everything is going well. “I feel good, I’m on track so far and the plan was always to be ready for the start of next season. “The support everyone in the medical team has given me has been brilliant, they’ve stuck by me in what has been a terrible season for me in terms of injuries, they really have all been great. “Obviously it is their job and protocol, but they genuinely do care and want the best for me, they’ve helped me so much and hopefully I can get back as soon as possible. “There’s been a good atmosphere at Thorp Arch throughout the season and it has been nice for me to still be a part of it, having breakfast with the lads, being in the gym and treatment room with them and going to as many games as possible too.” “I’m due to be off the crutches shortly and then it will be a case of building strength up. “I’m managing to get in the pool at the training ground as it comes under medical at the moment, so I can travel to work for that reason. “I’ve got a gym at the house where I’m doing a lot as well. “It’s a massive relief for me and a weight off my shoulders, I feel a lot more relaxed about everything now. “I’m looking forward to pushing on from here and enjoying my football again.” please log in to view this image Liverpool Title inadvertently good news for Leeds UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin has admitted it's incredibly unlikely the Reds wouldn't be handed the Premiership title regardless of whether the 2019/20 season is finished or not. The Reds are runaway leaders in the top flight, 25 points ahead of second place Manchester City, with nine games remaining. "I can't see a way Liverpool could be left without a title," he said. "If the Premier League resumes play, Liverpool will almost certainly win the title. Theoretically, it's not all over, but practically Liverpool are on the verge of it. "If by any chance the play will not resume, we still have to find a way to declare final results, to declare champions. "And again I cannot see, I cannot imagine a scenario, in which the champions would not be Liverpool." Could this inadvertently be good news for Leeds? The Whites currently occupy the top pirch in the Championship, and are 7 points clear of third place Fulham (and a GD of 12). Although Liverpool are 18 points better off than the Whites, surely a precedent would have been set? please log in to view this image
Morning Elland and all. Fair play for keeping the breakfast debate ticking around. I’ve noticed the odd comment on the board with people saying they need to take a break. I would suggest the opposite is the case. At this time in particular, with nobody to talk to in real life, all forms of interaction are welcome. We’ve enough isolation in our everyday lives. So what if some views differ radically, great to have something to debate
Perfectly said, can’t add to that myself I read the virus claimed it’s first suicide yesterday, some young lad who couldn’t cope with no money coming in and felt alone
Morning all. Have we been deducted a point Elland..........I thought we were 7 points ahead of Fulham.
I still think Augustin will only play a bit part if & when the season resumes I'd be very surprised if Forshaw is selected due to lack of his fitness levels
Augustin has great skill, and his execution is pinpoint. If he gets match fit in the next 2 months he will make a real impact. He's got time to do it...
Forshaw is still on crutches, though coming off them shortly, then they will need to build the muscle back up...
the mot is in the house all the time now, so if I try and get the beer in, she ****ing moans, so its really not worth it
I don't know how everyone else feels about it, but if they cancel the season I'm not sure I could continue to watch football. The injustice would too much, I don't know how I could continue to follow such an unfair sport. 80% of the season has been played, you simply cannot call it null and void and just move on and not expect consequences.
Never really missed this pair. Most certainly don't now, having seen this photie. please log in to view this image

Morning all. I read that a lot of Europe are going to be gradually coming out of lock down soon. Fingers crossed we're not far behind them.
