They drew the line up and his knee was offside. I don’t agree it should be like that but it has been all season, he was marginally offside.

We’ll lose the next two games against Chelsea and Fulham possibly leaving us 3 points above the drop zone with 9 games left.

Makes the season exciting then <laugh> <whistle>

Is it my eyesight or has the 4th red dot down been moved to the left.
If this is the fine lines we are playing to then we are all wasting our time following football.

You know, when i first looked at that i thought the same, my conclusion was must just be me, strange you mentioned that as well !!!!
Maybe VAR could do with a straight line to align the lines <yikes>

That’s what I thought initially, but I think it’s because the camera shot isn’t directly in line with the lines. I’m presuming VAR have a view directly along the lines so that his knee is nearer the goal than the defender’s heel.

Not sure though. If that is the case we’re not seeing what VAR sees, and never do.

I thought ok he's offside. But looking at it again, try standing like Costa is with one foot behind the other and see if the knee of the back leg is in advance of the forward foot. I tried it and can't do it. Ok I'm not the most agile ****er in the word, but that vertical red line looks very arbitrary.

VAR was technically right for the cross being out of play, & for Costa's knee. Hate it, but can't argue.

What bothers me is that the linesman flagged correctly. Both times. Now if it takes the VAR experts minutes to use their technology to come to their split hair decisions, can someone please tell me how a linesman can identify correctly, in a split second, in real time? How he managed to see the ball out of play from 50yds+, with goalposts & players in the way, I'll never know, especially as he was still running back & not in position. An incredible decision - only surpassed by him noticing a bawhair on Costa's knee that, again, took the VAR team some time to identify.

I find this astonishing, & firmly believe that the linesman really had no idea at all. He either guessed, or cheated, no doubt in my mind, & I believe there is overwhelming evidence to support this view. So which was it? Something that will never be challenged, far less found to be true.

VAR can take a few days now as Edmondson has been awarded a goal from Northamptons last match at the weekend. The Dubious Goal Committee gave him it <laugh> well done Ryan chuffed for you mate <applause>

Agree with you. It’s not the system Bielsa uses that is the problem, and I don’t mean this disparagingly towards our players (been immense) but sometimes it’s the quality of those playing it. That said, this group can bottle it under pressure. Five more points for certainty.
