For 72 million but they know Raph can cut it in the prem. I still think we’re pricing him too low. Palace were asking for more than 80 million for Zaha.

 

I agree with you here. People complained we showed a lack of ambition last summer in the transfer window, what ambition does selling your two best players show?

 

To be fair, not only did we massively overpay for Pepe, but the deal itself had mysterious payments being made all over the place. We actually ultimately sacked our Head of Football (Raul Sanhelli) over it after an investigation - a lot of £££££ got placed in people's pockets.

 

I think one might leave to fund the summer spending. If two go it's a bit reckless by the club imo.

 

I think both will go. And I think we’ll buy largely a bunch of ‘unproven’ young talent… which will make next season a complete step into the unknown.

I’ve just commented on this on the transfer thread, the guy wasn’t interested when Leicester were sniffing around at £35m as he wants European football

 

Maybe when he hears about radz famous five year plan that might swing the deal. Hopefully he doesn’t get talking to Kp or Rapha though, they might have a different view
