Apart from winning the World Cup almost single handed and turning Napoli into Italian champions for the first time ever. People need to get over themselves. Hardly a “sky sports breaking news” moment; footballer cheats shocker. Owen dived for the penalty against Argentina at the World Cup . Can’t remember the defenders name but playing for England stopped a goal punching the ball of the line and got away with it. Our own Kemar Roofe punched one in against forest I think it was. As I’ve always said, there’s only two forms of cheating in football, one the opposition does that you condemn and one your team does that you hypocritically turn a blind eye to. Great player but other than that since I don’t know the man his passing doesn’t generate any feelings towards him, good or bad.
Flawed character is an overused term and doing some heavy lifting but hes still a cheating drug addict, alcoholic, woman beater. Its like saying Peter Sutcliffe was a flawed character but was a great truck driver. Sorry if my personal opinion on someone isnt the same as yours but thats how opinions work. I have no time for any drug addicts unless they were induced by medication and cant get off. I hate anyone who hits women and in any walk of life if you were given a top prize for your work but you cheated and got found out you would get slammed, but footballers are ok?
Morning all. I doubt if there is anyone who has ever played football from the schoolyard to the world cup who has not tried to milk a free kick.
And the world cup and Napoli wins were tainted IMO as he was a Cocaine addict during them all, so take away his handball cheating, he's still a cheat who won nothing without performance inhancing drugs. He was also arrested with half a Kilo of Cocaine which makes him a dealer again IMO, how many was it OK for him to kill from drug dealing before you will stop making excuses for him, or how many Rapes is OK, how many hiting women is OK.
Yes, he should have taken some drugs, sold some more and kicked fook out of his wife, that would make him a real Hero.
No I didn't, I said WJ couldn't find one. Playing for Leeds as player manager, when I saw Eddie, I'm not old enough to have seen him in his prime, and it was in the championship or league 2.Couldn't even run, but they would give him the ball and he would spray it around the pitch. Never stopped them sacking him though, as the rest were ****. Eddie Gray to me, was a Leeds legend, and was very successful for Leeds, won nothing with Scotland.
