Well, from what he's said tonight, I have complete confidence in the man. Not that I didn't before but he's going to do what's best for the club and not just take the easy option. He's just a class act and we're lucky to have him.
I agree, he's done an excellent job so far and I'm fully behind him going forwards. He may make the occasional decision that not everyone agrees with, but there is always a clear logic, reasoning and planning behind that decision
Rate his answers and attitude, and so far since he has come in transfers and general running of the club does seem MUCH better. Obviously the proof will be in where we finish, but the ability to spot talent early is critical to our success and we need to get back to that. I love that we have got rid of most of the dead wood, and I am excited to see if we can build on the base of this squad now instead of firefighting constantly.
You can listen to it on BBC Sounds and finding Radio Solent Semmens does come across very well. Also liked what he said about club if new owners came in, also reassuring about the current ownership. There might not be money coming in but at least they keep the club running in a seemingly sensible way.
Our situation was fragile enough that even getting relegated doesn't necessarily mean he has done a bad job...it's unlikely that there was a course of action available that would put that out of reach. But part of the good job he has done is that we have a younger, cheaper squad; if things do go badly wrong, we might actually survive it.
Why do we have to compare any footballer to a donkey. Donkeys are beautiful creatures that have endured more than their fair share of burden. I love donkeys.
I don't know about that. They have a hell of a kick! I think we should call a crap footballer a "mog" after you know who. Someone who is totally useless.
