I don't think the chiwawas will win this one. It's SEB or HAM. If Ferrari are back then it's SEB (The bottling must end) but it will be bittersweet as HAM grabs the title.
I've gone for Verstappen. Ham doesn't need to win. Seb doesn't seem to be capable of winning and deosn't even seem that motivated, or has totally lost confidence.
I think a more relevant prediction thread would be how many kms before Vettel takes a spin. It's becoming as common as a Ricciardo dnf.
It certainly seems that way when you see him talk. Makes you wonder if he's just not getting the reassurance that he got at RBR. Folks say that he's not getting the best out of the Ferrari, but maybe it's Ferrari not getting the best out of Vettel.
I feel like he has known for several races that the Championship is over and is totally demotivated but he still has to turn up each weekend and go through the rigmarole of practice and qualifying and interviews where is he's not allowed to admit he just wants the season to end so he can go and have a break and try to do better next year.
His confidence looks really shaken, if you check his body language. Not the same Vettel of Red Bulls fame.
But as Hamilton was only 5th, it is of course an entirely unrepresentative session. Don't believe me, lets ask someone impartial.......... See, told you so.
Bizarre times from Ferrari and Merc. Mercedes turned e engine down due to overheating apparently so they will close up I'm quali, but surely not to the exstent of 1.4 seconds. Red Bull just need the Renault not to pop!
Is it going to be one of those weird ends to a season where Hamilton finishes nowhere, certainly not on the podium, but so does Vettel, so Hamilton wins a historic fifth title with a whimper rather than a bang? It's looking that way.
Might rain for qualifying, so Mercedes on pole probably as there car is definitely the fastest in wet condition.
Great Q3 from Ricciardo... you can see Max is really disappointed, he really thought he had it covered. I still believe Ricciardo is better under pressure than Max. But great to see the top cars are so closely matched.
Delighted for Daniel. He's been battered in qualy all year, but it's two poles from two opportunities. Barring a big shock in the last two races, max will not take the record for youngest pole sitter.
