So how many point from: Spurs (H) W Leicester (A) W Wolves (H) L Palace (A) W Liverpool (A) L Burnley (H) L Looks tough but I think excluding the Liverpool game then a point or more is possible in most the others. Will hopefully suit us playing some teams who like to play football. I'm going to go for a steady 6 points - one win, three draws and two defeats.
Starting to think Spurs looks like our easiest fixture from that lot. If we manage five-six points from that lot I'd be content. Spurs (H) W Leicester (A) L Wolves (H) L Palace (A) D Liverpool (A) L Burnley (H) D
Even if we only come out of them with four points (which is the minimum I'd like to think we will get), we'd still find ourselves on a point-per-game average. Now, granted, this is looking like a very rare season where 38 points might not be quite enough. Often 34 or 35 points gives a fair chance, and 38 points is almost certain survival. But, nevertheless, averaging a point per game is a decent barometer. So to be on that with 12 games still to play, and none against Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs or Leicester, would be a nice position to be in. Even if we drop into the bottom three along the way. I'll go with a battling and hard-fought five points. Our record at Selhurst is decent.
Spurs (H) - draw Leicester (A) - draw Wolves (H) - loss Palace (A) - loss Liverpool (A) - win Burnley (H) - win 8 points and some more pills
That Burnley game has the potential of feeling like a massive must-win by the time we get there. 8-0 or better at Leicester though and we'll know we're on an upward curve
hopefully today’s win will cheer the crowd up and make the last 2 home games ( out of this 6 ) slightly easier for the players .
