Can someone tell me why all today's football league games are starting at 12.30. Is it to save power by not needing floodlights?
Because games were moved in case England played at 3. A few teams played last night. Although it has been considered that moving games to earlier might help save money and electricity as you say generally.
No love lost between Aussie keeper Mat Ryan and one of his club mates at Copenhagen it would seem - his goalkeeping rival pilloried him on social media for his blunder against Argentina. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-12...ake-argentina-kamil-grabara-twitter/101732656

If they can find one. Now may be a good time to put in a cheeky bid for that winger of theirs with the funny name - the one who scored the winner against us a few weeks ago.
Clubs will be hoping their players can avoid doing this ! Bayern won’t be happy . https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63928729
Good news for Coventry. Staying at the Ricoh (or whatever it’s called now .) for the rest of the season . https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/62970327.amp
Think it’s the first change since the Russian took over a few years back though but be interesting to see how they do. Americans have a very mixed record in terms of ownership- and Bournemouth obviously aren’t a big club who could survive a bad one easily .
The first half has just finished at Chateauroux on a freezing cold night. The last thing I would fancy would be sitting in that concrete stadium, yet the attendance is not bad for them. I wonder if there is a scheme to buy tickets for the visit of PSG in the last sixteen of the cup. On the performance tonight, Chateauroux will get hammered when it takes place.
Will the big stars play ? Mind you the reserves probably aren’t bad ! World Cup fever hitting the nation maybe . I don’t find it too bad once in the ground last week but then had a lot of layers on and was an earlier kick off .
Trouble at t'mill in Melbourne this morning. The derby match between Melbourne City and Melbourne Victory was abandoned after 24 minutes after this happened. 'Fans' behind the Melbourne City goal threw a flare at the goalkeeper, who promptly picked it up and threw it back, causing a pitch invasion during which he was assaulted with a bin.
No surprise there . He has the support of the players and FA which will be most important to Southgate.
A round of applause to the French ref who gave Brazil's diving and play acting machine a red card last weekend !!
