The Luton team is full of big, physical players, rather different to the players that Gino provided. Rob Edwards successfully built a similar team at FGR, so knows what works.

    Yes exactly.

And tbf Pozzo wasn’t the one who said Edwards was going to stay long term etc .

But does make us look silly .

Not sure making threats to Pozzo is going to help though .

The Luton team was set up for him by Nathan Jones, he did not have to do anything except keep up the playing style which he wanted us to play

He will get all the glory while Nathan Jones is now an out of work busted flush

Ironically if we had kept Edwards until it was impossible for us to go up and Jones had not jumped ship Luton and Watford would probably have both been in the same place just outside the playoffs wondering what might have been

Gino created the perfect storm for us

Imagine all the pampered preening Premier League divas going to the Cess Pit Kennel

When you look around the country, where teams do not perform to the expectations of their fans, the same cry goes up, sack the board/owners. Spurs, Chelsea, Everton, Watford or Norwich, all are hearing the same cry. No team has an absolute right to be successful, and a league system with promotion and relegation has it built in for only a few to succeed, others to fail, then a majority of also-rans. Most things you buy have a money-back guarantee if they don't perform as it says on the tin. Football is different. There is no certainty what you will get until it is over. Until fans realize that their team is the same as others, and has no special rights, this unrest will continue.

Lets be honest since the Pozzos came in it's actually been the same but most weren't that bothered when we had our spell in the Premier league which is what some want back.

    Lots of managers
Money spent on players who have hardly played.
Not a great deal of communication (not sure I have ever heard Pozzos speak...)

And the promotion season in 20/21 seems to be have been airbrushed from history as well in all this or seen as a fluke/we got lucky type thing.

Guess all football fans are fickle and of course we weren't good last season - or rather didn't meet the expectations of many in and out of the club.

And of course today just rubs salt in the wound - I notice whilst praising Edwards they still keep saying Luton are rubbish and play awful football.

So presumably they would have hated it if RE had played the same way.

I'm not too sure this would be well received in Scotland - a UK/Irish/USA consortium are planning to buy Albion Rovers, recently relegated to the Lowland League, and rename the club Shamrock Rovers Coatbridge.

Coatbridge being just ten miles from the hotbed of sectarianism that is Glasgow, I suspect that the name change could well be seen as just too inflammatory - it would be akin to an Arab consortium buying Watford and planning to change the name to Al Hilal Hertfordshire.

When do you think our fans will get over Luton going up with Edwards..

When they get relegated next season?
If or when Pozzo leaves the club?
    Never?!

This meeting coming up might be quite hostile I feel !!

I can't say that I'm too fussed about them going up. They were third and deserve it.
Them not being relegated by a considerable margin and us having another woefully mediocre season would be more irritating.

Both teams now playing for penalties by the looks of it 1-1 and no shots at goal during extra time.

The idea of Everton and Leeds in the drop was appealing.
