The latest is that United medical team are still assessing the injury but could make a comeback against Liverpool but only if he is fully fit.

 

Who reckons Gerrard's going to get his first start of the season?

I would love to see Gerrard in the hole with Suarez free roaming up front. I have a bad feeling he may start on the bench though..

I think Downing and Bellamy on the wings, with Lucas and Adam in the middle, high tempo and let em avit.

Whatever happens I think we're in for a cracking game of football

 

Looks like another Saturday morning down the pub for the Wales - France game in the morning with an all day sesh carrying on through the afternoon till evening celebrating the Liverpool win.

 

This isn't an official thread; It's a home game at Liverpool so it should be on the Liverpool board so the Liverpool mods can moderate it.

Oh, and also Chris makes the best build up threads.

Anyway this is the build up thread not the banter thread. Score predictions, line ups etc etc.

 

I think we will beat you 2-1,Gerrard will start and so will Bellamy.

 

I'd like to say 3-0 but I think we'll win 2-1. Somehow I don't think either Gerrard or Bellamy will start though.

 

gerrard has been saved for this one(imo)and this game is made for Bellamy.

Our freeflowing football against them last season at Anfield wont be repeated if Carroll stars,if he does it'll be slow and methodical with Saurez and kuyt expected to lob high balls and crosses in for him.

 

If Vidic doesnt play I think its gonna be high scoring for both sides. Neither defence is up to much at the minute so I can see goals.

3-2 to United as we are due a win. Rooney, Nani and Welbeck. Suarez x2 in reply for Liverpool.

 

I cant see 5 goals in it but i'd take 3-2 against you.

 

I can if the attacks are on form.

If Vidic plays 2-0 to United.

 

If he does play i cant see him being on top of his form coming back from injury also the rest of your defence has been weak this season and we'll open you up at Anfield.

 

I can see Carroll starting, if only to test Vidic (if he plays) with Suarez playing off him. That would mean Gerrard and Bellamy being released in the 2nd half.
