He was just off the course record. He played brilliantly. Fleetwood Mac scored a 66 and lost ground because of how well Patrick played.
Pair of useless f*ckers, they've been harping on all year how well they've been playing. That's me skint.
What, you mean like the £200 I had on Lowry to win by more than 3 shots. Upstairs for thinking downstairs for dancing.
45/1 reasons why I thought it was a great open and his name is Shane btw Besides Lowry I backed Rose, Cantlay and Speight and none of them could handle today so go easy, maybe next year play in perfect sunshine,no wind or rain, soft greens and no rough...
My scattergun approach to this open paid off. I had £5 on McIloy (aye I know), McDowell, Lowry, Molinari, Fleetwood (should have gone EW), Speith, Finau £35 spent but Lowry returned at 45/1. To be fair if you look at his performances on the US Tour and European Tour, he has long looked a potential major winner. My concern was his last performance on the links last year - but anyone can miss a cut in links if goes badly. I always try to back a few in the Open. I just think links is tricky. If you are unlucky and say get **** weather when you happen to out early or late, it can put you straight out of contention. To be fair to Lowry he was consistent all days and spectacular on day 3.
