If you like them do them a favour and like/share on Facebook and YouTube. They are also on Spotify if you use that.
Ed Sheeran has quit social media after getting abuse off trolls who called him "an irritating ginger busker". How unfair. If it was untrue. Anyway, here's a punk rock contribution from Austria Not their Eurovision entry
Agree totally. Whenever a music thread goes up there are loads of people liking this type of thing. Can't see for the life of me see what the appeal is.
For somebody who is quick to dismiss acts like Oasis as legitimately good bands, you don't half post some **** pal. Are you one of these hipsters who thinks money and fame is uncool and a 'proper gig' consists of 30 scruffy gimps drinking cans of Red Stripe in a Student Union Bar watching some lads who ain't had a shower for 9 months and turned up in a hire van?
I don't think punk has any greater association with dirt and grime than any other form of music. Grunge is the one for that - but Nirvana are hailed as musical geniuses for some reason. I don't have any problem with money and fame. But popularity is no yardstick of talent. A lot of popular artists are sh*te. But it's not about music, its about style. People buy into an image rather than the music. Style over substance sums up modern day popular music. At least The Beatles and The Beach Boys got to the top of the charts on merit because their music was enjoyed unconditionally. The band you don't like are DeeCracks from Austria. They are heavily influenced by the Ramones who played music for fun - catchy, singalong tunes played with fast guitars and drums. They came along when music was stagnant, with rock dominated by self indulgent, excessive prog rock bands. They drilled straight to the heart of what made rock n roll exciting and fun in the first place. Although commercially unsuccessful in the U.S and with minimal success here, many places around the world got them. They sold out 50,000 capacity stadia in Japan and Brazil. The post you quoted is a live performance. The one I posted above it is a studio track - a great song. Whether you like it or not, it fits the Ramones blueprint. The essence of rock n roll.
