I didn't see your comment when I first played it. I'm like thinking I've heard something like this before, and you had already captured it in your comment. I haven't seen the two arrangements but sound very similar.
Aussie band. I like that track. Haven’t found another one they’ve done that I also like! So often the way.
Ok this guy has been in the press because of his political views but ignore that. This is all about one of the worst tracks you’ll ever hear.
I know nothing about the guy or his views, but just trying to make sense in disbelief at the first 30 seconds of what was coming out of his mouth, made me feel nausea.
He comes from a famous acting family and off the back of that he’s had an acting career and is now getting booked to play his music on TV. The audience must’ve been “WTF?”.
@Archers Road @brb My mate told me about this one today, after reading his book, and went on about how this was Madness formed.. I thought it was a bit Madness mixed with Chas and Dave. But you can defo see where their influence came from.. Cockney geezer, great Sax etf. This is way back, every before the Blockheads.
Yes mate i know all that. I was at the original Madstock gig in Finsbury park in the early 90s...The one that registerd in the richter scale, and Ian Dury was one of the warm up acts. Always thought he was ****, Was told today about the time he went on Parkinsons, and Parky didn't interview any other guests that were waiting on the show, as Durys interview went on for so long, and Parky was gripped by it, when he was talking about the need to help disabled etc...Don't forget this was decades ago, and Dury was a very clever bloke bloke.
For some reason Drury and Parkinson does ring a bell with me. I liked Ian Drury, some of Madness was ok, other aspects of it not so. Actually funny because I just had Ian Drury playing on youtube and when it comes up with other stuff you might like from your search criteria, I've seen as I'm typing this the Parkinson interview in there!
