He's a dick, but that's a bit of a stretch, in my opinion. He's not BAME himself, so the "they" has to be some sort of "other" word, while the "our" doesn't necessarily exclude the BAME individuals mentioned. The whole thing's an attempt to make voting harder for poor people, of course. The problem it claims to address basically doesn't exist. Straight out of the Republican playbook.
Also worth mentioning that somebody who has been convicted of voter fraud isn't exactly in a position to accuse other people of it...
