or coutinho... so in reality can we really accomodate three such players in one side? you have to wonder. The boy had a bad injury. It set him back so i think yes either rodgers backs him or he lets him go. and it is indeed time to make that call now, this year.
I think there is very little purpose in letting him go now. If he doesnt have future with us, we should loan him to a La Liga side next year where his value will rocket if he performs. If we get rid of him now, we would make next to nothing on him
Liverpool U21's 2 - 2 Bolton U21's, half time. Cisskho and Ilori playing. Were 2-0 down, Rosittor and Ibe from the spot got our goals.
Youth cup tonight vs Blackpool. Should be lots of goals and a good opportunity to see those emeging from the academy. Alot of the u18 actually play for the U21s, but the strongest possible side may be fielded this evening with neither the U21s or U18s having games for a while. Could see the likes of Ibe, Sinclair, branagan, mclaughlin, Jones, rossiter all playing in the same side. or they may just go with the standard u18s who are not bad in their own right.
What did you make of Rossiter and Jones getting to train with the first team bryn? In a sense that Rodgers hinted that Rossiter could potentially play?
Both really young lads, and Rossiter really looks his age. (I wouldnt want to see him having to mix it midfield yet with a physical team like Man City. But saying that. He is local, he is passionate and puts himself about. More importantly though the lad does have some good skills and very good vision and passing. He is only 16 at the moment and I would think it would be too early for him yet, but i do expect to see him making his debut within the next year or so. We have a habit of many of our players being too good for the U21s and having to go out on loan. This lad could be too good for that league a long time before he is anywhere close to 21. Lloyd Jones has Physicallity on his size and has jumped ahead of other Cbs much older than him. I think he could begin to give an account of himself for part of a game without being physically intimidated, st the same time we have, Agger, Sakho, Toure, Skrtel, illori and Coates who he would have to push in front of to get a chance. Both these lads ould be playing tonight and at u18s level I would expect Rossiter to show how much he is above players his own age, (and upto two years older.)
yeh, i dont quite understand it, there are several players registered for the senior squad who generally turn out at either u18 or u21 level. Sinclair, Jones McLaughlin etc. im guessing they are generally training with development sides that the play for but also get opportunities to train with the first team
look they are both REALLY young. rossiter is way too young to be considered first team and a couple of training sessions shouldn't change that. Lloyd Jones played with kelly and ilorli recently and honestly i have not been that impressed with any of them together. Give the kid a chance to find his feet at this level. I think rodgers was complementary of rossiter but i think he'd pick anyone sooner than put the kid in an away game... expect CBs to play cm not see a child on our bench.
that was a get out of jail game. the goal Blackpool scored was a beaut, anyone see it? Suarez would have been proud of that one. keeper made a couple of good pen saves, we know who we have next round yet?
a good game for the kids noting that smith played here but i think we ought to look at kussey, rossiter and peterson... teix played but seems to be totally unfancied by rodgers. What was the story with Ibe. he didn't play this so i am wondering if he could be on the bench for the fa cup as a result but he was injured a little recently.
anyone watching u18 game on lfc, lfc v newcastle nice play by wilson for 2nd goal to setup tricket-smith. 2-0 ht
