Have to say I watched the first episode and loved it, great stylised violence. Lost interest mid way through the second and never saw another full episode, but have seen plenty of glimpses since and it all seems near identical.
It might be much better than the impression I got. I now have a very short attention span, and have reached the conclusion that the majority of stuff that gets good reviews for the first series is then stretched out paper thin for ever, so tend to give up early, on the grounds that I can guess the rest of it and never test the accuracy of my assumption. Also don’t binge watch and rarely stream anything but sport. I am a deeply 20th Century person. Don’t trust my judgement on modern stuff.
To.be honest, I've quite enjoyed it - it's just pure escapism. Blonde girl with dodgy Russian accent goes around the world assassinating people at the behest of some shady secret organisation whilst being chased by some American-Japanese bint who has the hots for her. No deep thinking involved.....it's totally outlandish and unreal (it is based on a comic after all) and if you can get past that, it's not too bad.....I save my highbrow entertainment for a different night of the week!
Took the grandkids here today..... paradise wildlife park - Search (bing.com) Excellent place. A regular zoo, but with loads more (including animatronic dinosaurs). The kids loved it and so did the adults.
The last time I took my kids to the zoo I had to buy ‘em each two tickets; one to get ‘em in and the other to get ‘em out again.
Late to the party with this, but we just watched Joker. Joaquin Phoenix is magnificent and the film is superb. Proper.
The film has echoes of King of Comedy and Taxi Driver, both De Niro films of course. I was intrigued by the use of Cream's White Room towards the end.
