RIP Glenn. Proper footballing CB, with the legendary step over. I think he made those who played with him into better players.
RIP Glenn Roeder As others have said, I can put Glenn up there as one of my heroes. He was a real captain and a leader in one of our most successful eras. A real centre back but he could play like a proper footballer too. Always a man you wanted beside you if it got naughty but a gentleman too. I will always remember the ‘Glen Roeder shuffle’ and the cheer of the crowd when he used it. He captained our boys onto Wembley for our FA cup Final and replay, another of my proudest days. Thank you Glenn for all you gave our club, our fans and me. My thoughts are with your family Glenn. RIP
Liverpool Football Club is deeply saddened by the passing of Reds legend Ian St John, aged 82. https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/an...ool-fc-deeply-saddened-by-ian-st-john-passing please log in to view this image please log in to view this image The Saints and Greavsie show was a must for every football fan on Saturday mornings. RIP.
Very sad news, you'd have got long odds on Ian passing away before Greavsie. Their show revolutionised football programmes and has never been equalled since. Don't forget St John was a top notch striker in that era. RIP...
Saw The Wailers at a festival a couple of years back, and The Beat were on the bill too....Rip Bunny and Ranking Roger who died not long after
It was sad to hear of Ian St. Johns passing today. A great player, indeed a legend in many fans eyes, and fantastic character too. He was a perfect foil to Greavsie and they pioneered the football chat show uniquely - hasn’t been bettered since. RIP Ian Also sad to hear a reggae legend in Bunny Wailer passed today too. RIP Bunny
That happened to a mate of mine. Got drunk and fell down his stairs hitting his head. Everyone thought he was okay but sadly he did some damage inside and passed away the next day. Very sad
