I love the royal family, in an abstract kind of way. I don't condone the actions of the individuals that are part of it- some of them are wrong 'uns but that has always been the case. I fully support the institution of a royal family though as I believe they are an important aspect of national identity from which we as a country gain many benefits.

Therefore, I very much dislike the way the soon-not-to-be-a-Duchess has undermined the royal family. It seems to me that she's shown very little respect for the institution and has fought against the protocols that they are all expected to adhere to. If you join an institution like that you have to toe the line. If you want to bring about change within it, you don't throw a tantrum.

Does that include serial divorces, mixing with convicted paedophiles and crashing cars with no regards to the public ...

... agree about Harry's lass btw.

Odd that they left the UK because of tabloid racism to go and live in the USA. No rednecks or KKK over there, not that you'd notice from your secure $11M mansion...

Like I said, I don't condone the actions of the individuals within it. I like it as a concept.

Agree with you mate. Did the press print private letters that Kate sent to her parents or even try to get their hands on them, not a chance. She is nowhere near perfect but the press went after her.

A different scenario but certain sections of the press went after Raheem Sterling with almost daily stories about his wealth, tattoos and how he spent his money, after this was highlighted and questions were asked why was he being targeted in particular and not another young professional footballer the stories stopped.

These private letters couldn't have been accessed by any kind of media ...

... unless they were given them by one side or the other.

It's just newspapers ffs, not the CIA.

Meghan was a gold digger with her first husband and dumped him when she got what she wanted ...

... Harry should be worried, very worried.

It would only be racist if these comments were made because of her skin colour, you may think they are but there is no proof that the press "hounded " her because of her race

As far as I recall, the press was initially very positive about her. My memory might be inaccurate but the press criticism started when stories started to leak that she expected to have her own way all the time.

TBH if a lad in your local was dragged away from his home, mates and family you'd tell him to give his head a shake.

"Yeah but I'm getting flak off people and our lass is upset."

F**k that mate, we'll stick by you and get it sorted."

"But she's having mental health issues and threatening suicide."

"Ah right, you'd best f**k off to California with her, no racism or mental health issues there like."
