Webber played a blinder signing these top young players from relegated clubs and exploiting the covid slump from our position as a Premier league club awash with TV revenue. We got some cracking prices

I didn't see you post your starting 11 or formation. Handley was one of our best players last season so our best performing centre back , Kabak hasn't played yet so unproven thus far .
We paid Paok £15m and Werder £16m we clearly have a good working relationship with them which could be useful in the future .
Yeah RWB I think. I'd take him as a squad player, but little more. I don't think he gets in the side ahead of Aarons or Rashica. I can't believe Jacob is 26 now, I'm still going to think he's 21 when he announces his retirement. Love this from Normann, if he can bring a bit of fire to our midfield I'd be very happy. We've been too nice since Bradley Johnson and Grant Holt left.
Article in The Athletic today about Arsenal's new signing Takehiro Tomiyasu refers to their interest in Max Aarons and reason for not pursuing it. They wanted a player able to operate at RCB in a back line of 3 when in possession. Tomiyasu has a lot of experience at CB and has the build.
That's 25 players out the door for one reason or another (24 shown there plus Skipp). Expected a degree of change, but this exceeds all expectation, in a very positive way. One question. I am sure there is a limit to the number of loanees in a match day squad/team but cannot recall the figures. Can the all play together?
They can all play together. The limit is 2 domestic and 2 international loans. The international loans are seen as "temporary transfers" (because that's different apparently...) and so they don't count towards the limit of 2 loanees in the squad.
I thought there is no limit at all on international loans in the starting line up or in the squad? I think the squad limits only apply in the Championship (five loanees?) because they allow up to eight loans in total. So my understanding is that the limits on loans are up to 2 loans from other Premier League clubs and up to 4 domestic loans in total (which would require loans in from lower divisions). Then I think the emergency goalkeeper loan rules sit outside this. But it is a massive minefield so I could be wrong!!
