Lincoln could still get auto promotion ahead of Peterborough and give us 1st place if they beat Peterborough this coming weekend. Still a lot to play for. Well done Donny tonight.

    Decent club Bristol.
    Fans don't deserve it.
Relegation or that horrible twát Farton.
Shìt happens. Take the rough with the smooth.

I'm still hopeful we'll come back strong in the play offs.

Just seen this on my Facebook page, not sure if it’s genuine, dodgy bollocks etc but thought I’d post. If it goes against any rules feel free to delete

    Ian Ashbee....

Former Hull City captain Ian Ashbee has paid tribute to the Tigers' "perfect" promotion and backed his former side to continue their momentum into the Championship next season.
City secured an immediate return to the second tier on Saturday with a 2-1 win at promotion rivals Lincoln City and will now look to hold off nearest rivals Peterborough over the next two matches and secure the League One title.
Ashbee, who skippered the side from the fourth tier to the Premier League during his time with the club, rates this success right up there with the promotions he oversaw as captain.
It's massive," he told the BBC. "You see some of the other teams in the league that have gone down, big clubs who have gone down and can't get out, so credit to the whole football club and the management for bouncing straight back.
“They've had a good side but they've still got to perform. The pressure's been on but they've performed and done the job. So it's perfect, it's a credit to them all. It's as good as any promotion the club has ever had."
Ashbee insists this feel-good factor will also benefit them next season.
"Yeah, 100 per cent," he added. "I think our promotion team wasn't anywhere near as good as the team who got promoted years after, technically or anything. You use it to your advantage. Of course, confidence is a massive thing with any players and to be on the back of a winning season and winning the league will build.
"Players will have another year's experience, players who have come from lower leagues, players who have come from higher leagues, they'll all gain experience from this. It'll just breed confidence and it builds the team morale, the team bond which is exactly what is needed.
“You add a couple of players in, Grant McCannseems to know what he's doing. I think he's always needed that kind of time. He's learned himself. Everyone's learning all the time. The momentum will be great. Imagine adding three or four players to that confidence at the start of next season. It will only bode well for the start of next season."
Ashbee also revealed his small part on proceedings at the weekend, after he was invited to send in a video that McCann played to the squad before last weekend's win at Lincoln.
"I think I was actually fishing at the time, I was at the bankside! I was asked to send one in. The lads get motivated from within themselves, but I understand Hull City, the town and the club, so I said a few words, said to all stick together because for me, football is football.
"You always get your doubters, your haters, people will always moan. That's the nature of football, you have to deal with that. For sure I'm assuming they came in for a lot of stick last year which they took on the chin, so I just said all stick together, work hard and for sure they'll do it.
"They were always going to do it in my opinion. The pressure was on, they did it and that's all I said, just a couple of words like that, I think a few people did."
City go into this weekend's match against Wigan, three points ahead of Peterborough, knowing that they will secure the title should they better Posh's result against the Imps.

I guess the debate on whether points on board or games in hand are the things to have has been settled. Right now I wouldn't swap places with any other club in our division.
