So after lots of requests for a super optimistic thread after our gallant defeat at the hands of Everton who better than I, official Saints Not606 optimist, to create the next match thread? Well turns out a few others, but as Laces was busy I thought I would do it anyway and break my match thread virginity. The Enemy Leicester, a city situated 141 miles directly north of Southampton. Famous for crisps, Gary Lineker and having a far better rugby team than football one. There is absolutely nothing else of note about the place I am sure if you follow football or know of a Leicester fan you will know that they flukily won the league a few years ago. Since then they have not shut up about it but not to worry, the main reason they won the league was down to a bloke who has left for Man City, another one who fled to Chelsea as soon as he could, an inspirational manager who they sacked shortly after and another guy who is still there but looks like a rat and is banned for our game as he deservedly saw red for a horror tackle in the previous game. The current Leicester have started the season pretty averagely, losing the opening game to 2018/19 Premier League whipping boys Man Utd and scraping past Wolves, a game they probably should've drawn at best. They are now managed by ultimate Saints divider of opinion Claude Puel. He has had a ropey time there so far with lots of talk that he would leave at the end of last season as he played crap football, but ultimately did OK. Sounds very familiar. For the purposes of this thread and Saturdays game we are going to go with the widely held Saintsweb belief that he is the worst manager to have ever managed anyone and has no clue what he is doing. Here he is shortly after 5pm this upcoming Saturday please log in to view this image Their current team possess such powerhouses in football as Marc Albrighton, Daniel Amartey and Ben Chilwell. Pah, nothing to worry about. The Saints Fresh off a really unlucky defeat to Everton where we were robbed as we actually won the game 1.7 to 1.4 we go into the game in fine form with 1 point from 2 games. Our BUPA sponsored strike force of Ings and Austin will strike fear into every centre back in the league and under charismatic talisman Mark Hughes we are set for a top season, starting with our first win against Leicester. We have no fresh injury concerns as at the time of writing this and will most likely be welcoming back into the side colossal centre back Vestergaard and the best Mo in the league Mo Elyounoussi. We should line up for this victory as such: - - - - - - - - - - - - McCarthy - - - - - - -- - - - - - - Cedric - - - Yoshida - - - Vestergaard - - - Bertand - - - - - - - - - - Lemina - - - Hojbjerg - - - - - -- - - - - - Redmond - - - - Armstrong - - - - - Elyounoussi - - - - - - - - - - - - Ings - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - With this galactico line up we surely can't be beaten and will have far too much for this Leicester side. please log in to view this image Official Officials No idea, Tom will let everyone know at some point. Saintmagic Prediction Saints 4 Leicester 0 A comfortable victory with a brace apiece for Ings and Yoshida

if we win then 4 points from 3 games is nay so bad if we lose then its a proper ****e start to the season if we draw and i have an annoying hunch we will then its all a big pile of average poo You decide
Proud of you dude....COYS!... PS, you might want to get your dosage of Prozac checked out medically...
Laces is currently scrunching up 72 pieces of paper and asking himself why he just didn’t go with the original draught. All because he couldn’t find a witty line to rhyme with Vardy. Snooze you lose fella
I want wins scattered through the season like star dust...then we wouldn't have time to panic. And we could occasionally watch MOTD.
Must admit it has made me a tad superstitious as I've found out that it's going to be first game of the season which was also his first thread last season which we won... I love how you haven't liked the op out of principle and support for your mate btw
I'd take a dodgy 1-0 win with an own goal off someone's arse. And before anyone jumps on me this is me being bloody positive, especially as I'm going to be at this one.
