Great job! @fatletiss - this was a prearranged shift, fear not. Plus, Lardy rhymes with Vardy. As does Laurel and Hardy. So there!
Genuinely the only thing I thought of was that Claude Puel looks a little like leftover parts for Penguin from the Batman series.
Don’t worry this new positivity is here to stay. I believe I am now pencilled in to do every match thread as we will go unbeaten
Full attack for me. We can win this one. - - - - - - - - - - - -McCarthy - - - - - - -- - - - - - - Cedric - - - Yoshida - - - Vestergaard - - - Bertand - - - - - - - - - - Hojbjerg - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Armstrong - - - - - -- - - - - - Redmond - - - - - - - - - Elyounoussi - - - - - - - - - Gabb - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Ings
And so does "kiss me Hardy", if you should happen to get the gig for our trip to their place, and you want to go with a nautical theme.
Alright mate, Will probably be Schmeichel Ricardo Evans Maguire Chilwell Ndidi Mendy Albrighton Maddison Gray Iheanacho Possibly Morgan for Evans, if not Mendy Silva. Can’t see any other changes than that
My preferred team would be... ———————-McCarthy - - - - - - -- - - - - - - Cedric - - - Yoshida - - - Vestergaard - - - Bertand - - -JWP- - - Hojbjerg - - - - Armstrong - - - - - -~- - - - - - Redmond- - -Gabbi - - - Ings
I don’t care how we do it but we need to win this game! Scratch that... I would rather we play attacking football and lose 3-2. Hopefully it will be the other way around.
I just want to be entertained and to gain some pleasure from watching the Saints. I am fed up with being frustrated and pissed off by their collective and individual performances. I want to see courage, flair and determination from our players. I enjoyed the cameo of Pahars because he had the courage to take on the defender and to run at him at speed and then the flair to nutmeg him. The goal was the icing on the cake. When did we last see anything like that from a Saints player. Today we see safe no risk pass it side ways and backwards football. Oh for the red arrows of Pochetino.
To be pedantic Godders, the “Red Arrows” Comment was aimed at Adkins’ Saints after the first game against City.
Our two games this season have both been entertaining; it’s only the result that’s missing. Danny Ings, if he stays fit, shows every sign of being as exciting to watch as Pahars was.
Was that the Man City game on our return to the Prem? If so a good example of while we all like a win (or respect the point) you can actually lose and still feel proud and hopeful.
We can compare the two no.10s we were after, Maddison and Armstrong. What I mean is, start Armstrong.
There seems to be general agreement on who we would play at the back. We clearly need JV and if we are sticking with 4 then I want the experience of Maya alongside him. They need to protect Cedric from getting isolated at the rear post v taller players. Ings has to be up front so its the mid 5 that are up for discussion. I think JWP has created some more competition here but I feel nervous of starting without either Oriel an Mario but Mario keeps get caught ball-watching, is he a defensive or attacking midfielder? He seems to be under-achieving a bit in both areas. So I would start with ... - - - - - - - Alex - - Cedric JV Maya Bertie - - - - - Oriel PEH JWP Armstrong Redmond - - - - - - - Ings but if we can't protect Cedric we need to consider Stephens at RB
