The Saturday ITV Racing Competition is a regular Saturday competition that revolves around the races that are televised on ITV. Each week the TV schedule will be posted, ready to accept entries. Results will normally be posted shortly after racing.

Rules: Select one horse in each televised race (see below)
Choose one race for your nap selection

Your selection will be deemed to be a "win bet"
However, you may choose for any of your selections to go ew - if so please specify "ew"

Points will be gained based on the return to a £2 win at SP or a £1 ew at SP as applicable (Place odds are 1/4 odds 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th depending on the number of runners). In the event of dead heats the specified stake will be divided by the number of horses dead heating for the place

The nap selection will score double points

NRs may be replaced at any time before the race start time. In the absence of a replacement the bet will be void

Failure to post entries in any week will simply result in zero points for that week

NB Please do not edit selections. Any changes to be made by replying to original post. Thanks

    League Tables

There will be a champion tipster for each week, each month and each year. Each Saturday a League Table will be produced showing the results for that Saturday. There will also be a League Table showing the progress in the Monthly League. At the end of each month a Monthly League Table will be produced. There will also be a League Table showing the progress in the Yearly League. At the end of the year a Yearly League Table will be produced. All champions will be recorded on a Roll of Honours list and will be made available from this thread header. All Monthly and Yearly League Tables will be posted on this thread. The Saturday league Tables will be posted on the relevant Saturday thread, following the entries.

Might have to start backing my tips properly now Ron. Even though I am still on a minus figure here, I would still be better off if I had backed these <laugh>

You may have noticed that anyone who has ever entered this competition is included in the Year to Date League Table whereas, in the Monthly Tables, only those who have entered during that month are included. Also that there are not the same number of races on ITV every week. If it is preferred to have a standard 6, I can either take the first 6 races on ITV, The Scoop6 or allow each entrant a choice of any 6 races from the UK and Irish race meetings. I will keep it as is unless at least half of the YTD entrants agree on something else.

If anyone has no intention of continuing, let me know and I'll remove them from the Tables

At present we have enough to run 3 leagues of 7 or 2 leagues of 11. Again, if big enough demand I can do this, with promotions and relegations once a month. Personally, with the year to date table, I'm not sure there is much point in promotions and relegations but, as I always say, the competition is for the benefit of the forum so it's your choice.
