Well another season comes to an end, as a Leeds United fan it's been disappointing but I'm hoping with the appointment of NW to the managers post we can push on next season.

How's your season been and who do you think the biggest flops were?

Personally the amount of money spent in transfers and wages Leicester storm it for me.

    Leeds for me.

Their fans keep telling me they should be in Europe but they're nearly bottom half of the Championship.

Spent about double the amount the Southampton did.

When you take Mills and Beckford out then we spent a lot less than most teams in the league.

erm, what about the wages you're paying?

As for Leeds, spent **** all, sold two quality players and we sing about Europe because we are Champions of Europe. <ok>

I can't. But you can't prove it right either.

As for Beckford he came out and said he has no problems with the gaffer and is totally behind his ideas.

Last season, Leicester spent 16.6m on wages. Let try estimate how much they've spent on wages this season.

    PERMANENT DEPARTURES:
    Lamey, Hobbs, N'Guessan and Lane.

    LOAN ARRIVALS:
Michael Johnson, Nathan Delfouneso, Gelson Fernandes.

    LOAN DEPARTURES:
    ****loads of people.

Let's say at this point that the loanees in, all from Premiership clubs, have probably cost Leicester about 40,000 per week in wages. Agreed? I'm also going to estimate that the loanees they've farmed out along with the fringe players they've sold have probably, combined, not saved them much more. So those three balance each other out.

At this point, they're still spending as much as last season. But when you look at permanent signings they've brought in this season...

Peltier - £10kpw? Average League One wage seems to be between £3-7kpw, and this lad was at big-spending Huddersfield.
Schmeichel - £20kpw? Allegedly earning about £14-16kpw at Leeds, so you'd expect a step up from that.
Danns - £25kpw? Could have gone to Rangers and the Premiership, but opted for Leicester instead. Says it all.
St Ledger - £15kpw? A relatively big name at Preston and Boro, so you'd have thought he'd have been one of their higher earners, and would want at least parity from Leicester.
Nugent - £25kpw? Been at 'pay up' Pompey and comes with a big reputation at this level.
Matt Mills - £30kpw? Cost a ****eload, and could have got a top flight move.
Paul Konchesky - £30kpw? Been a top flight player for years. You'd expect him to have been earning about £30-40kpw up there, so a sideways wage move would make sense.
John Pantsil - £20kpw? See above.
Michael Ball - £20kpw? Aging, but still well-thought-of.
Jermaine Beckford - £25kpw? Going by AKCJ's convenient "information" which he "got" "at" a barbecue.
Drinkwater/Morgan/Marshall - not sure about them, so I'll be nice and say they're on a combined sum of £40kpw.

Add that up and what have you got? £260kpw. Over the course of a year? £13,520,000.

Add that onto Leicester's existing wages and you've got yourself a conservative estimate that their wage bill totals £30m per annum.

And this is in addition to Proud Fox's claim that they've spent £14.5m on transfer fees too.

Your failure this season alone has cost you in the region of £30m. Congratulations, Leicester City, you are the Championship's weakest financial link. Goodbye.

try being a QPR fan and you'll know all about failure and overpaid muppets. we'll have the most expensive team in the championship next season and will still be lucky to make the play-offs!
