Give us some examples. Can't dish out a statement like that without backing it up. Blimey... Why are people so salty? Anyway.. only caught the last 30 laps as I slept in. It take it it's not worth going and watching the other 30? Bits I saw were dull as dish water. Only thing I took away is that it seems like Ferrari are genuinely on it. Could make for an interesting end to the season at least.
really? I just watched the highlights on C4 and it looked really good, as far as Singapore goes. A good, and much needed, win for Seb. Too little too late to do anything in either championships though.
Must have been a short highlights package compromising of 90% Danny Ric! The first stint had the top 6 cruising round at William's pace, followed by a second stint of safety cars and no one at the front looking remotely likely to overtake. It took them long enough to clear the midfielders on new tyres never mind each other.
Oh dear. Has this forum once again been infected with blind hero worship banging its head against a harder reality?…
why? because Ferrari decided to get a 1-2 instead of a 1-3? This wasn't about favouring Vettel, this was about favouring Ferrari and maximising their points haul.
I doubt Ferrari purposely did it, they were probably caught off guard at how much quicker Vettel would go. But I can see why Leclerc is annoyed, he was told to drive at a snail's pace and so made the undercut so powerful against himself.
This is it, isn’t it? He did everything asked of him in order to give a win away! Frustrating as hell, but there will be worse things that happen, and his time will come (if not here already).
I don't think Ferrari thought the undercut would have worked that effectively to have got Vettel out ahead of LeClerc. The undercut worked for CLC, in so much that he ended up with a far bigger advantage over Hamilton, but did they really think Vettel would make up 2 to 3 secs in the space of a lap or two before bringing in CLC? LeClerc may complain, but it definitely was not any attempt by Ferrari to sabotage his win.
I think that the one thing that cost clc the win was Vettel's out lap. He was very fast and that allowed him to jump clc. I think that clc's strat team made a mistake in under estimating how much quicker Vettel could go. So in the cold light of day I guess clc will understand what happened and it wasn't just 1 thing that went wrong for him. What I am surprised at is Merc, they didn't seem to have a plan to cover the Ferraris at all. They just stayed out even though Vettel did a flying out lap.
