That is not due to shortages or Covid, but purely down to the fact you drink it so quickly the shelf stackers can't keep up with you.
Yeah, I don't know about Kentish apples specifically, but I know some varieties can last a very long time if kept in cold and in pure nitrogen. My own favourite (Braeburn) used to be available year round because it lasts forever without going bad in nitrogen storage It's one of the four varieties of apple trees I planted this spring (Stayman-Winesap, Cortland, Braeburn, Gala). Damn deer keep eating all the leaves off my Braeburn though. I may need to eat some deer instead..
Gala is nice, and a good pollinator for Braeburn.and Stayman-Winesap. Gala was the last one I got. I screwed up with my original three. I didn't know that Stayman-Winesap being a triploid variety was useless as a pollinator to the other two I had... So I had to get a fourth.... ... At least it's how I justified it to my wife who is a bit bemused by all the fruit trees and fruit bushes Ive been planting. She doesn't yet know about the Apricots and Paw Paws that I'm planting this autumn.
Veg oil been out of stock for a while but they had big bottles last time we went so got one of those and just decant into a normal sized one. Other than that haven’t noticed too many shortages when we’ve gone. Only thing haven’t been able to find is freezer bags… no ideal if that’s also connected.
Only Pink Ladies? Or do you like Arkansas Blacks too? I hear Rooney prefers Granny Smith and Sturridge prefers Cox.

Now I don’t agree with this, but I would say pensioners should only be allowed out to shop between 9-11:30 and 2-3:30. there’s no reason for them to be dawdling around tesco at lunch time when I’m trying to pop in and grab a few bits on my lunch break.
