Fun and games for me...

Courtesy car overheated last night. Pulled over, let it cool down, restarted and drove home.

When I got home, I popped the bonnet and had a look, coolant tub was bone dry.

Filled out with water (no other option at the time) so I could fetch the other half later on. Whilst filling it, I used my phone as a torch but dropped it

Rang Enterprise this morning to tell them, had to wait in for AA to come. His diagnoses was "it's ****ed", true wording was 'the head gasket as gone', it got towed away within the hour. Now got a temporary lease car; a ****ing vauxhall Corsa


Right, back to the phone I dropped....
It damaged the screen a bit but was still usable. Whilst waiting for AA Chap to arrive, I was using it without a problem.

Ten minutes before he arrives, bang! Screen went dark, no longer useable. So I've been sat at home alone without a phone or car all day waiting the ****ty Corsa to be delivered, then went off to buy a new phone; many of you will know I've been struggling recently so really could have done without the expense but can't manage without, only number I have.


Medical tomorrow, hopefully that goes a bit better...

Cars are a ****er. Remember when my old one kept losing power on 4 diff occasions. Finally got it semi fixed and traded it in to get rid of it.

At least it was only a courtesy car and not your one. What’s happened to your actual car?

Been written off. Negotiated a settlement fee eventually after rejecting the first two offers. Bit of a blessing tbh, it needed a new turbo

Got the medical tomorrow and typically today is the first day my backs felt 'okay'. Certainly not back to normal but been moving about more freely. Been day on my arse all day too though

 

Sometimes works out alright if it’s an older car that cause issues. It’s when the cars fine and they give you 2k to buy a new car when would cost you about 4 to buy the exact car you just lost!

 

Get some physio

Hurting or not, I know where my pain is/was. More concerned about what the youngest is going to say; he has ADHD combined with autistic traits, and doesn't like doctors!

Rafa would have sent a player to Croatia for horse placenta baths to get better for a bad back. Not sure what the Mansfield equivalent is? Bathing in baked beans perhaps?

The Democrats have now officially retained the senate and race in Congress is tight.

Inflation is 7.7 to 8 there. Nobody gets re-elected on numbers like that.

Surely republicans have to now seize the opportunity to purge the lunatics from their party and power and get good old honest greed back in charge.

Trump has to be put in his place now and surely a quiet little nod to get him in court over something would solve a lot of their problems.

As long as trump continues and thry can't get de santis in as flag bearer the more chaos they will be in.

 

Yeah... The longer Trump is acting a fool, the more hope Democrats have of retaining the white house.

DeSantis worries me more than Trump though. All the authoritarianism and corruption without the incompetent buffoonery. He could cause much more lingering damage than Trump did if he gets in power.

 

Look from the point of view of the rest of the world if you lot keep yourselves to yourselves for a while you can self harm as much as you ****ing like. Trump was acting the bully with China for no real reason bar some hawks breathed in his ear and said the next war will be with them and then he stuck tariffs on eu and by extension the UK for no good reason.

All that's happening now are a consequence of trump throwing money about then ignoring covid.

If de santis is elected and says usa women can't have abortion and need to get back in the breeding farms... well its your own electorates fault and you can deal with it within your borders.

The main issue we all need to deal with is climate deniers and all that good stuff that someone in bed with oil will ruin for everyone.
