And it was for you, and anyone else in the same boat, that this thread was devised and, after much deliberation, created
Anyone genuinely finds this stuff 'fun' and enlightening may well wish to follow @NorwichFCStats who come up with 'gems' such as this historical pie chart(?)
As is often the case, stats are not required in this instance....FACT. Nevertheless , you have been awarded a comical like for your troubles.
Having access to genuine Opta stats would be fantastic, but the unlikelihood of footballxg having such access prompted me to enquire further. All they would say was that their stats come from "a 3rd party based on Opta methodology". Since Opta developed the concept of xG in the first place, I guess all publishers of xG data can say the same thing. Pity because, as I say, to have access to "the real thing" would be fantastic: as they say in the investment world "If it looks too good to be true, it almost certainly is"
But please don't Like my posts Gandy. I wouldn't want to give up my position at the top of the leaderboard for least liked posts (just 14.25% at the moment and going in the wrong direction -- upwards).

https://www.footballcritic.com/championship/season-2020-2021/292/44690 According to football critic Blackburn who are 13th and have 15 points less than us have a better statistical ranking then Norwich who are first
The linked table actually has Blackburn 11th and ranked equal with us on 68. The only teams ranked higher are Bournemouth, Swansea and Brentford. From FC's FAQs (my italics): "FootballCritic (FC) has one main purpose - to help football fans of every level of obsession understand and enjoy the game just a little more." Sound familiar?
Of the last three teams we've played, all of them decent, Blackburn provided the stiffest test. They've picked up fewer points than their performances have warranted.
The scatter graphic that you posted does show Blackburn in a good light. Could be a very important three points for us.
