Well I've not been winning any friends with my balanced views on the current nufc manager, but after Steve Bruce brought back the fans dreams of losing 4-3 rather than winning ugly 1-0 I thought maybe one or 2 might be starting to appreciate him a little more.

No? So what's the problem now? Has he still lost the dressing room? (see pic 3) Or is all you want a hard working side again now? Sorry I'm just tying to keep up.

This is a thread dedicated to our new messiah.

In all seriousness credit where its due he's doing OK right now.

Since the clocks went forward in March Newcastle are the top scoring team in the PL

    Your thoughts?

I think you have forgotten those 18 odd games or whatever it was when we didn't win. Good morning, by the way. Bright and early.

No I just think that was actually down to injuries and covid mate.

That's gone now I think he should've and would've gone if it was another club but we're actually playing decent stuff scoring lots of goals and getting good results now.

Fair play to him... It's not a good look to keep persecuting someone when they're doing well.

Why!? Because he's stook up for himself after having abuse and criticism from large numbers since day 1?

Forgive me but it's that bullying mentality I don't like... Its essentially fans getting angry when he doesn't just keep taking their ****.

Personally I have found him to be irritating, but that's because we weren't doing well. If we're playing well I have no issue.. I live in the here and now mate... Afterall that's all that matters.

Shame you’ve conceded more goals than anyone else barring West Brom this season and you’ve still not amassed 40 points bro.

Pleased to see the big lad getting the respect he deserves though....... #footballgenius

    But we're not playing well.
West ham. Played well for a half. Lucky in end.
    Liverpool. We were terrible. Luck.
Burnley. We had 10 minutes of good play.

All that happened was the points on the table.

I've told you before I don't care about results. All I care about is the football I watch. Under Steve Bruce we are ****.

I'm only looking post Jones... Its been a significant improvement and Bruce asked for him, so I'm crediting him for that.

It was awful prior, but it seems mended so I don't see why nufc fans are so keen to swap him for Chris wilder and his staff.

I'd like a top manager, but it won't be under Ashley.

I'm just not someone that holds grudges.. Fair play to Bruce cos he's had it big time from day 1 and he's just a man doing his best.

Right now his best is good enough for me anyway, but if it slips then it's time to go.

Not true tbh it's been quite entertaining recently and we score lots of goals.

You don't care about results? Come on mate

Prior to Jones coming in it was the worst I've seen though

You're clearly not watching the football. 25% possession and when we do have it we're invariably **** with it.

As for the results thing we've discussed this before. I want to be entertained. This is not entertainment - if it is to you, great

20 points from 16 games since Jones turned up, compared to 19 from 20 before he arrived.

Is that a startling transformation? or is 1.25 points per game where that squad should be i.e. 47/48 points?

Personally I don't like possesion based football it's boring. I like the way we're playing.

For all that passing we created 1 less effort on goal and 1 less I target after about 70 mins ( last time I checked)

We've scored more goals tha any other side in the league since March and collected more points than any of us thought we would.

I'd rather debate / criticise Bruce for not dropping Shelvey right now because there is absolutely nothing wrong with performances or results at the moment.

Nufc fans are being taken apart by Steve bruce right now and the pundits and te media are having a field day with them.

Just hold your fire, say fair enough and if it goes wrong then start up again. If they had the brains to do that the media and pundits would say fair play to Newcastle fans and it'll make their lives a bit easier.
