I'm finding this thread somewhat depressing. Not what I really need right now. Whatever happens to the Club happens. That latest statement on the website is utterly worthless. Nobody believes anything put up there anymore. We'll only know when news comes from other sources. In the meantime we have bigger matters to remain concerned about, like as many of us as possible staying alive for the next few months.
And it turns out that ESI requested an unsecured overdraft of £4,000,000 in the club’s name from HSBC in January. The naivety in doing so was staggering - they had no collateral....RD still owned the freeholds to the Valley & Sparrows Lane. Just imagine the conversation when the Fake Sheikh walked into the Woolwich High St branch of HSBC ... “I’d like to open a lending facility of £4,000,000 please” “Certainly sir. How much are your shares in the company worth?” “Err.....65p. But Matt has another 35p worth”. I believe we (our club) has a VERY NARROW ESCAPE with that HSBC overdraft. Nimer, Southall & Co would have spunked the money immediately.
Unfortunately, there might be other stuff lurking around. God knows what sort of sponsorship deals they contrived over the last 3 months. I'm sure they would have played that field too.
In April Nimer will post on Instagram that the EFL are being very helpful, and he hopes to invest funds in May.
There’s two ways of looking at today’s statement - Either the EFL are being remarkably slow again in processing the paperwork, including the fit & proper person tests on the two Romanians Or ....things are being uncovered about both the Romanians & the overall lack of funds, which are promoting yet more questions & delays.
The EFL needs to stop faffing around. These characters are obviously as shifty as Hell. They should not be indulged while they try to duck and dive, and muddy the waters in order to scrape through the fit & proper tests with an absolute minimum amount of credibility. Come on EFL, grow a pair and tell these con-men to F*ck Off. Tell Duchatelet his sale was never ratified, and the Football Club is still his property and his responsibility.
The court case will take care of everything hopefully. As RE said, the director’s lawyers wouldn’t have allowed it to get to this stage if they thought there wasn’t a strong case.
I assume a jury is not required. I think that's all been stopped because of the lockdown. Indeed I don't even know if any courts are still sitting.
Everyone will know it's not my work. I don't believe in posting something that will take longer than 90 seconds to produce. A bit like my sexual activity
Seems the leader of this Sting is about to show his hand. Do any of you still believe that Nimer and Southall have really fallen out, and this wasn't part of the plan all along?
