Cameron Ebbutt (trialist) and Gaffers get the goals at Salisbury

 

Good signing and he'll complement our existing strikers.

Squad shaping up nicely.

 

The pitch looks nice !

 

Great signing. He was one of the best of a very good crop of players at Exeter. DC's done very well to get him on board. Really encouraging signings all round so far.

 

His scoring record is not anything special. But neither was Taylor's record and look how many he scored for us. I got a good feeling about this signing.

Glad he has taken Broome and Russe I would like to see them both get a few starts in Luke Russe's case maybe in the Mickey Mouse cup. I think that both players have great futures in the game.
Tom Nicholls is a good signing for us and he gets a holiday from the word go

 

I assume there will be no signings this week with them being in Portugal

 

Looking at the 24 man squad thats gone to Portugal and go on the basis that we need 2 players for each position, we have...

We need 2 GK's and we gotWe need 2 GK's and we got 2 GK's - Smith & Slocombe
We need 2 RBs and we got 2 RB's - Leadbitter & Partington
We need 2 LB's and we got 2 LB's - Brown & Bola
We need 4 CB's and we got 3 CB's - Lockyer, Clarke & Burn **Need 1 more**
We need 4 CM's and we got 4 CM's - Lines, Sinclair, Sercombe & Clarke
We need 2 RW's and we got 2 RW's - Bodin & Moore
We need 2 LW's and we got 0 LW's - **Need 2 more**
We need 4 CF's and we got 3 CF's - Harrison, Gaffney & Nichols **Need 1 more**

Broom can play anywhere in the midfield so could fill in on the LW position.

Broadbent is on trial and is a CB. He has no football league experience so if DC thinks he is worth keeping, I would have him 5th choice CB meaning we still need another CB. 5 CB's would be handy especially if DC likes playing 3 at the back!

Hall is on trial and is a defensive CM and could be our 5th CM which would be handy if DC plays 3 CM's in a 433 formation.

Menayese, Russe & Hargreaves are confirmed to be in the U21 side this coming season.

So we need 1 CB, 2 LW's and 1 CF for sure if we want 2 players in each position. Would be handy to have an extra CB (Broadbent) and CM (Russe) and even an extra striker too as back ups.

Thats minimum 4 signings for me is a must. Then if possible, an extra CB, CM & CF please.

 

I doubt DC will bring anyone else in this week but I bet he wont be off his phone the whole time though

 

That's assuming he can get a signal CJS

 

He averaged almost a goal every other game in his last couple of seasons for the Grecians. I think he'll probably do well for us.

Lost 2-1. We went 1-0 up through Gaffney in the 2nd half but then Hull came back and ended up scoring a late winner.

 

Oh well, at least it was a game against 'proper' opposition to hopefully get us in the groove for the real stuff which starts in just a little over a fortnight now away at The Valley.
