And a great cover of the Temptations' '(I know) I'm Losing You' which Rod recorded on his brilliant album 'Every Picture Tells a Story'...
Just finished watching the Brian Wilson/Beach Boys biopic movie "Love & Mercy", well worth a watch - definately a flawed genius. One of his finest moments.....
I love the traveling Wilburys but this one sounds too much like a certain theme tune so I'v gone off it a bit now Sorry, I hope that has not ruined it for anyone
Feckin gutted - Mrs Monkey just got a call from a pal, and is on her way to Glasgow for launch of our own Pete Dohertys Libertines new album, on the guest list, and there was only 1 spare ticket Here's an oldie of theirs
Sublime piece of music, an aria used to good effect in The Shawshank Redemption. Uploader seems a little confused about the performer(s). Not Maria Callas (it was a duet for starters)! Actually performed by Edith Mathis and Gundula Janowitz. Not that it matters, a wonderful, moving piece nonetheless.
Wow, Brigitte Bardot, the perfect woman! My wall was full of her posters when I was growing up. Probably the reason my mother kept knocking on the door asking if I was alright! Marmalade were good back then. Dean Ford was a good singer, but sadly left. The others carried on regardless, but were never the same. Dean had a few problems, mainly with the demon drink (I guess it shows), but has started making music again. This is my favourite Marmalade song, given a new treatment by him.
Some great new material from Tame Impala - best Aussie band about at the moment (except AC/DC of course!)
