Off Topic - The Superhoops music thread

She played this on Monday night - honestly the weirdest gig I've ever been to, thought I'd dropped some really bad acid and travelled into some crazy sci-fi future.....wrote about it on the review thread.....

 

Did she play much of her early stuff Steels?

 

Nothing - just Venus as a Boy. Honestly, it was so strange. Her last album, Utopia, is focused on a post-apocalyptic future brought about by climate change and she thinks humans and animals will merge into hybrid mutant beings....lots of strange instruments, noises, crazy dancing, an echo-chamber on stage, a choir singing in Icelandic (for 20 minutes....). It was billed as a theatrical performance, which it was, but I didn't really have a clue what was going on, and although I enjoyed it, think I would much rather have seen her do a hits tour. She aas an amazing voice though, one of the best female singers I've seen perform.
