This thread is the reason why you, and your equally bigoted rivals, or should I say ex-rivals, will never be allowed anywhere near English football.
Your fans are constantly talking about it...............it's in all the papers.......or don't you read them anymore?
Which papers? Papers in England I assume seeing as how you live there? It is mentioned infrequently In Scotland, there is no real appetite for it apart from a minority. It's fair to say Rangers fans may want it right now but it's just chasing rainbows. There is NO chance of Scottish clubs playing in England, sensible people realise that, and seeing as how there are plenty of intelligent football fans up north, it's obvious that most don't care because they know it will not happen.
RangersMedia Published on Wednesday, 20 June 2012 18:08 Rangers to move to England? News has emerged that Charles Green is looking at buying a club within the English Football League in an attempt to do what has been written off as fantasy by most: take Rangers down South. For long, the financial differences between the football leagues of the two nations have been humongous. For instance, the team finishing bottom of the Championship will still receive more in television money than that which wins the SPL. To that end, a move to England has always looked incredibly lucrative for Scottish clubs, in particular the Old Firm. However, if true, it seems that Green is looking to get these wheels into motion. It is reported that Green's preference would be to stay in the SPL sanction free, and it would appear as though this move to buy up an English outfit is merely a long-shot alternative to a drop to Division Three; a drop that would quite frankly prove financially disastrous for the club. The rumoured target of the buy-out is League One side Bury, although their chairman, Brian Fenton, has denied any contact with neither Mr. Green, nor Rangers. In the event that such a move would go ahead, many Rangers fans have already expressed their reservations about being responsible for the demise of a fellow footballing club, merely for their own club's gain. In any case, this is now just paper talk, and little more Green’s plot to buy Bury GIGG'S UP ... Green's move to buy Gigg Lane side Bury looks doomed EXCLUSIVE By SHAUN CUSTIS Published: 21st June 2012 RANGERS are looking at an astonishing plan to buy Bury so they can play in England. But the sensational scheme already looks doomed due to the tough stance of football’s top brass on clubs playing outside their own countries. SunSport understands Charles Green’s consortium have looked at acquiring the League One side as they research a raft of possibilities for the future of the Rangers newco. Their plan would be to take up Bury’s fixtures for the 2012/13 season and play home games at Ibrox. The Gigg Lane side are scheduled to kick off the campaign at home to Brentford on August 18. SunSport was told last night: “Rangers really are thinking about this. “They are in a position at the moment where they have no idea what the future holds. “They don’t know whether they will be in the SPL next season and do not want to go to the bottom of the ladder. “Acquiring an English club would get them the foothold they have always wanted down south.” Crisis-torn Gers are in the process of being liquidated and have been bought by former Sheffield United supremo Green for £5.5million. They are being forced to re-apply to get back into the SPL at a Hampden summit on July 4. The 12 member clubs will vote on whether Gers should be re-admitted — and there is strong opposition to them being invited back. If their application is rejected it would mean Rangers having to start again in the SFL. The uncertainly casts doubt over the club’s future and left players fearing they will have to leave and boss Ally McCoist with huge problems. Now Green’s consortium is probing whether a sensational switch south would be allowed under League rules in both Scotland and England. There are precedents with Welsh clubs Swansea playing in the Premier League and Cardiff in the Championship. But Green’s historic bid looks set to fail. One senior Scottish football source said: “This just would not be allowed. “It would need the permission of UEFA, the FA and the SFA and it’s a non-starter. “Of course, there’s nothing to prevent a Scottish club buying an English club and changing it’s name and it’s colours. “The real problem occurs when a club tries to play ‘home’ games in a different country to the one where the league is based.” Read more: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...38/Greens-plot-to-buy-Bury.html#ixzz1zTbbwrzN
You do realise RangersMedia is not exactly a site for moderate Rangers fans? It's a flag waving, Unionist and extremist pile of cack to be kind, the sort of idiot who normally inhabits that site thinks some massive Catholic conspiracy is out to rob them of their (Protestant) heritage. It is not the voice of Rangers and they are not (in my opinion) typical Rangers fans. As for "The Sun", not exactly the most reliable source of information is it, especially when it provides no sources for it's guesswork. If you want to get a grasp of the feeling for Celtic and Rangers joining the EPL have a look at the many posts on the topic on this forum, they are almost always dismissive of the idea.
Thought you would try to discredit anything I put up, so how about this thread on your forum dated 26/6/12 named "Joining the English League" You should remember it, you contributed to it yourself!!! Or is that not creeditable either?
Pesky Chelsea fans. Btw "Jim" tell Bob here how desperate you are personally for Rangers to play in England, he reckons we are all gagging for it and that we think of nothing else. I think he is saying we are obsessed about England and the Premiership.
**** off this thread is for embarrassing taigs. Why do you even care you know most of us couldn't give a **** about the english league proposal.
