DON"T OPEN THIS LINK IF YOU ARE ABOUT TO FLY !!!
    YOU MAY REGRET IT !!!

    https://forums.jetphotos.com/forumdisplay.php?29-Aviation-Safety-Discussion-Forum

If you go to "HOME" you will discover that this is a "Jet Photo" forum with many very nice plane photos.

However, if you click on "SOCIAL" and then "FORUM" you will find the "AVIATION SAFETY" posts. This is a bit like our "Not606 QPR" forum, but on the topic of plane crashes or near misses, and generally by pilots or aviation experts.

It is both intriguiging and frightening by the number of "events" and the "details" of the discussion.

For example, peruse "Malaysian Airline Loses Contact with 777 en Route to Beijing" which is currently on page 110 and going, and probably will go on for a very long time.

Apparently, there’s a phrase somewhere half way through the old Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes movie Terror by Night, that makes Alexa start playing Wild Cherry’s Play That Funky Music.

    Who knew?

    Boring Co
Chicago has chosen Elon Musk's tunnelling venture called - you guessed it - the Boring Company - to build a high-speed underground commuter system from the city centre to O'Hare airport.
The system will use 16-passenger vehicles called "skates" that will travel up to 240kmh (150 mph) through an 18-mile tunnel and cut the journey time from up to 45 minutes to just 12. It will supposedly operate every 30 seconds, 20 hours a day, the company said.
The plan, which still requires regulatory approval, will be formally announced by Mayor Rahm Emanuel later.
Mr Musk's venture won the contract - its first - over a consortium of five firms.

If there are 16 of them
8 starting at either end each day
And they run with a 30 second gap won't there be an 8 minute wait for the ninth one

Crumbs! You must have some free time on your hands to make calculations, or you are naturally incredibly intelligent.

To avoid polemics, I vote for the later :)
