You would think that with all the terrorism going on that these security people would have more sense though... This comes after a photo posted on Facebook on Sunday (Sep 17) showed a couple standing on the F1 race track. The post read: "3am in the morning. Bribed the security guard to let us onto the track. He not only agreed, he took the photo. Non F1 fans won't understand this, but most of us will." A Singapore GP spokesperson told Channel NewsAsia that it is working with the security agency that had been assigned to that area of the track to investigate the claim. "The safety of our patrons is of utmost priority and we view allegation(s) of bribery seriously," the spokesperson added. Looks like a load of bullshine on the part of the people in the photo. When being full if sh!t gets out of hand.
I think if they'd been 2 muslim youths wearing back-packs and fervently reciting extracts of the Koran, it would've been a different story.
Apparently they hadn't bribed anybody at all and were just bullshitting on social media. Something like that.
It's gone far to quiet....... Just read a F1 review, was about F1 coverage in Italy, and perhaps slightly surprisingly the Italian media by and large blamed Vettel for the incident. Granted the media like to kick up a storm and only ever vaguely follow the facts, but I found it surprising from a usually loyal media.
They were hard on Vettel. By the way, Ferrari is saying Vettel's engine is good to use again....wouldn't that be a risk though? They wouldn't want it go boom in the next race. All hell would break loose.
Well it didn't take a massive smack, so if they think it's still good it's potentially better than shelving it and dealing with what that brings.
The front wing section of F1 cars are primarily designed to provide aerodynamic features to aid performance and to absorb impact forces "head on" within a relatively narrow angle deviating from the car center line, any side ways forces that are exerted from a significant sideways angle will detach the wing fixings and render it null and void.
