I just had the impression that every time a Brazilian player went down the ref blew up but Koreans were left lying on the ground. The Koreans were too naive and gentlemanly - had a penalty been given against Brazil under the same circumstances all hell would have been created until the ref consulted the VAR.
Just switched it on and was surprised to see the 0-0 scoreline. As an aside - itv show the score as MAR 0 ESP 0. I get the ESP bit, but as Moroccans call Morocco Morocco, what does MAR stand for?
When Sarabia stepped up to take their first penalty, the commentator said that the coach had brought him on just before the end of extra time specifically for that moment. I laughed out loud when his attempt hit the upright...
A deserved win for Croatia I thought. Apart from that wonderful goal by Neymar, I didn't think Brazil offered much - and Neymar himself offered nothing for the other 129.5 minutes. Have to hand it to Modric - at 37, I didn't think he would last the whole 90 minutes never mind extra time, but he played for the whole 120 minutes as though he was 10 years younger.
Really enjoyed it despite lack of goals. Croatia really did a number on Brazil and deservedly go through for their grit and determination. Modric was my MOTM.
