Why do all these road sitters all seem to be old upper crusty types?

All grey hair, rain jackets & and hiking boots.

Or am i imagining that?

 

As in they are trying to bring attention to that issue, then yes the protests have been effective.

Looking at some of them (not all) they are retired. There is one particular old grey haired guy there, that I've seen at virtually every protest headlined, either that or they are cloning him.

 

I was so pissed off I came home and took all the lagging out the loft.

Fck 'em.

On a positive note I no longer get annoyed at traffic jams.

A noble cause being played out all wrong by quite literally going head to head with the public. You want our support when you're blocking the roads and stopping us from getting to important meetings? Or getting to our loved ones who are poorly in hospital? Blocking ambulances trying to get to and from emergencies... Get ****ed. They've been dragged about today but they were unharmed, we know it's only a matter of time before one of them gets hurt very badly, at the least. They'll not get any public sympathy when that happens neither.

Just standing harassing MP's all day and making a scene outside of Downing Street and Parliament would be a lot more productive than what they're doing now.

It's horrible to say but I can see somebody desperate driving straight over the lot of them soon.

 

Yeah the hippies are already responsible for one death by blocking the road. They should have been up on manslaughter charges for that. Pack of ****s.

 

If they had any brains they'd block the A56 into the Tory Party Conference.

Don’t think anybody is going to strip their loft insulation out in protest. But I agree that they’re going about it in the wrong way.

 

They could at least take a few deck chairs.

 

As in it’s not going to have a tangible detrimental effect on their cause
