It's utter corruption amd utter bigotry, utter barefaced authoritarian behaviour by fifa.

It is the single most shameful sports event I've seen. I dont know what 1936 Olympics looked like nor what the two Olympics in Russia and los Angeles looked like but this can't be less bad.

They've decided to count all the foreign workers underneath the stands holding them up.

    There’s explanation for it all.

Those 40/60/80k figures are fifas minimum for each stage of the tournament (group, semi, final).

Once they had then put all the equipment in and actually counted the seats the final seats available were updated for each stadium but it was done after the tournament had started causing confusion.

The attendance figures also includes all people in the ground, rather than tickets sold, so can also include corporate guests, media etc.

Not really. The stadium capacity is 92k so even 88k is under the capacity.

Hmmmm and you beleive thst the capacity went from 80k to 92k just cos they tell you.

The same state that corruptly bought the thing and then killed 6500 people upgrading their facilities and infrastructures.

No because the stadium holds 92k. FIFA listed the capacity as 80k as that’s the minimum a stadium used for the final must hold.

Once they then counted the capacity once all broadcasting cameras set up etc it was slightly lower and fifa updated the capacity on website. Problem was games had already started so looked funny.

Don’t you think it’s weird that all the stadiums were conveniently listed as exactly 40, 60 and 80k which just happen to be the minimum required?

Don't you think it's funny there's 8 stadiums in a tiny space for a country od about 300k citizens and 3million modern day slaves.

Why wouldn't there be false info being given out when they corruply bought the thing smday 1 and then instructed doctors to certify young men dropped dead of heat stroke and dehydration as natural causes.

Well, they miscounted the number of workers' deaths by several thousand so I suppose maths isn't their strong point.

no? I’m not sure why it’s so hard to understand.

fifa state that stadiums must have a min size of 40k for groups. 60k for semi. And 80k for final.

Those figures were published on their site and which stadiums falls into those categories.

They then later updated them with the final stadium figures once they knew the numbers once all the broadcasting equipment was set up etc.

Normally it’s done before tournament but I’m guessing because these are all brand new stadiums which have never had this much tv equipment / pundits / commentators all set up etc, it took longer to confirm the actual figure of seats available for fans

    this si why.

its all a giant waste of human life and capital.

please log in to view this image

8 stadiums that will have NO USE in 4 weeks time. This country has no league to speak of. 8 stadiums in close proximity to each other built and horrendous human cost.

This is EVERYHTING wrong with the world and a hangover of fifa corruption writ large.

If they had even awards this **** show across 4 or 5 countries and limited the negative impact then qatar might get one big stadium and the other despots would each have one or two and the same human rights abuses would be happening today but just maybe at least a few ordinary locals might have a football stadium to go to after this **** show ends.

I couldn't give a dman what figures they make up about this ****e.

the ultra rich flying there to spend massive money on hotels that don't exist and tickets into games at 300-1500 quid a pop are really showing thier class and all.

you can tell which countries have more sense than money i suppose

    Mis-estimated it then <whistle>

I assume you're just ignoring all the empty seats?
