We mustn't drop our guard now. I think RL is a potential hotspot with all the hefty folk who attend it and their tendency to breath through their mouths . Think a few more months till August would be safest option.
As tempting as it must be , I would say no, we have a roadmap , stick to it , by the time 17th may comes about , most over 60's will have both jabs , by the time June 21st comes , a majority of over 30 will have 1 jab and a good portion of 40+ will have had 2 jabs ... its the jabs that are doing this now , lets keep it going , get the jabs out as much as possible so that when stuff opens up , the maximum groups are protected as fully as possible
42 and over now are able to book a jab, any tips to get it to show hull centres ? nearest one I get is lincolnshire showground ??
Some people seem to have got lucky first go, others take longer. I think there is a lot of luck involved, which doesn't sound like a good system, but it is what it is. I found it's a case of just keep trying, and be quick when filling it in. It can be frustrating, as it lets you get right to the end, before apparently someone else has pipped you to it. I was told that it's easier at silly o'clock in the morning, as there's less competition, but that depends on your favoured centre being available. I tried several times, and kept getting offered sites miles away, then all of a sudden, one around the corner from me popped up, and I got in for the following day. Oh, and despite what it says, there's no point ringing the number it gives, as they only have access to the self and same system you have on line, which seems a bit pointless, given you've been on line to get the number.
When my wife and I were offered the vaccine we went online and it only kept offering us Lincoln showground.. I rang my local surgery who I knew were doing the vaccines and they booked us in there and then. It seems the big vaccine centres such as Lincs showground are being offered as they can deal with large demands and get more people through the gates.
Keep trying. And go as fast as you can. Your stubby fingers should be a blur. Another tip is don't worry about where or when you make your second appointment. It'll only slow you down. You can change it later and there'll be more flexibility.
Everyone I know got one in Brid. If you read the article in the HDM recently you will have seen the area with the best health and highest sense of well being in East Yorkshire was Brid. And the area in Brid with highest was the North area of Brid. Better infrastructure? Is that congestion and chaos on the roads? More advanced medicine? In the City with some of the worst health due to the obesity of the overweight smokers waddling about and living on junk food? Another article in the HDM. No mention of Hull. https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/new...oola&utm_medium=display&utm_campaign=exchange
That'll be all the interlopers and wessies bumping the figures up. Aren't you an interloping wessie rather than a local?
No. I was born here. Which is why I support City, the only team in East Yorkshire. Wessies and interlopers from cities Hull drag things down. We even have a Wetherspoons to accommodate their idea of fine dining. Not many interlopers into Hull as the population has decreased over the years. Though there may be an influx to see the latest tourist attraction, an iconic footbridge which took longer to build than Hadrian's Wall.
Hasn't stopped the sheep shagging like Hadrian's Wall did mind you. Retrograde progress you might say.
I got a letter from the NHS asking me to book a vaccination on line. I logged on and got 1st & 2nd Vaccination in Hull (nearest). My wife waited and got a call from Wold View Practice for 1st vaccination (is still waiting for booking for 2nd) as she has asthma and was considered "vunerable". I assume I would have had a call from them if I had waited, but I decided I wanted mine asap and went on the train to Hull.
