When the nurse asked me if I had a preference on which arm to have it in, I said 'Yours'?

The coronavirus will no longer be circulating in Britain by midsummer, according to the government's departing vaccine taskforce chief, Clive Dix.

Mr Dix, who was appointed as interim leader of the taskforce in December and stepped down last week, said it was his belief there would be no circulating virus "sometime in August".

Around here the rate is 8/100,000 which in reality means that I would be very unlucky to meet anyone with it.
That said we will have a huge influx of tourists this year.

Of course the figure of 8 is new cases per 7 days, so the amount with it, and knowing, will be very roughly 10 times higher if it lasts for around 10 days and of course there will others without it that don’t know.
Still unlikely (and about 4 times less likely than in Hull) but best to stick to the sensible precautions that don’t affect you too much (masks and distance for most people) and if those who do test positive actually isolate that would dramatically reduce the likelihood. It appears that most don’t though so testing is useful now it’s available to everyone

    Distraught not coping at all

due to the total lockdown on referrals cos of everything is Covid and nothing else
there’s loads who haven’t had early diagnosis with cancer and now it’s too late for them
They call them open and closes
Opened up and they realise it’s too late for them
Close em up and onto morphine
What a ****jngpreventable waste of life

As you know Chazz, we have been through the cancer mill for the last year and have been told that we have another two years of treatments ahead of us. During this time my wife has had the best treatment that she could have had in the circumstances. No delay's, no treatment held back. I am always staggered by the different levels of service that we get here compared to you lot. My relatives wait ages to speak to a Doctor, I get appointments the same day. I had a steroid injection a couple of weeks ago. From making the first call to getting the jab, 10 days, including the xray. My relative who wants the same was already waiting 14 days just for a telephone appointment, I had everything done whilst he was still waiting for his xray. He still hasn't had his jab. thats 5 weeks compared to my 10 days. How does that work?
We was in the hospital yesterday, things are not going back to normal in it, they are changing everything around, moving the surgery clinics into bigger areas to be able to catch up quicker.

Good for Fc fans that they can watch at the KC a week on Monday...loads of fans complaining though that the cant get through to book tickets, 7 hour waits etc, glad there's no test requirement for them but sod watching the game wearing a mask though, totally no need for it when it's both outside and getting into summer and zero covid in the community.
