Okay, perhaps at HQ against Watford team will play more in the spirit of the Blackburn game. Typical that in that game, Gallagher score his first goals, two of them, in many games. Good goals from Blackburn, they played well, enjoyable to watch, we just needed to score the first goal and a bit more luck, typical of us conceding just before half time, scoring a good equalizer, then blowing by conceding a couple of late goals, I still thought when 2-1 down that we might pull another Reading comeback and perhaps even win the game, which would have been a fabulous start for the Wild Thing!
Just watching Stoke v Blackburn (who beat us 3-1) and late in game Stoke were 3-0 up, took their foot off the gas and Blackburn scored 2 quick goals, 3-2, but they ran out of time, 3-2 FT. So these comebacks can happen, like us at Reading.
Can't help but wonder what the response to this would be if it were a British club's fans; https://www.bbc.com/news/av/world-europe-64970977
Sheffield United about to go into administration…. Like wow. Currently sitting in second spot, six points clear of third place Middlesbrough. Possible 12 point deduction. Newcastle score last minute winner to go fifth.
If I remember correctly you live reasonably close to Palace? ‘Pet hate teams and why’ would make an interesting thread, Soops. For me, I’ve always had a dislike of Coventry City. I’m probably fuzzy on the memory but I seem to recall them beating us to condemn (or near as damn it) our relegation from the Premier League in the 1990s. Took a dislike to them ever since even though everybody beats us these days. Chelsea is an obvious team to dislike alongside Millwall and Norwich… but I’m struggling to build up animosity to many more… perhaps Pompey because their ‘fans’ were the only ones to have given me a good kicking.
