Slightly different issue, but simulation is worse than it’s ever been. They need to start retrospectively punishing it. Players like Rashford and Bruno F should have had bans by now.
Some of the injury simulation is even worse than the diving for penalties. Agree it should be handled by an independent panel, preferably containing an ex-ref, ex-player, ex-manager. Could even get them from overseas leagues to be less biased. They should review each game in full and assign punishments or determine whether ref punishment was appropriate where incident spotted by them. Whether or not ref saw it should have no bearing on what they act on. As a player its really easy to spot simulation.
Hodgson confirmed back at Palace. I thought we showed no ambition under Ashley but if any appointment ever smacks of just happy to stay in the division it’s this one. They actually looked quite good against Arsenal on Sunday, having the best chances, until Arsenal scored. They will now go back into the Hodgson defensive mentality. Even if they stay they will then need to find another manager to take them on.
Don't understand it at all. What is Hodgdon going to improve over Viera? As you say, it's not building up for the future, it just looks like a desperate attempt to not get sucked into relegation this season. It could still backfire on them.
Great play by Isak who's forward run and cross resulted in an opposition player only being able to put the ball in the back of his own net
Think we can win this as long as we go at them from the start. Let them settle in the game and they will probably win it. Looking forward to it - the time change last week means it’s only 1030pm KO here so not too late.
